Especially since a handful of users with high post counts either trashed their posts themselves or asked for them to be deleted when they left. The ability to add or remove reactions is a minor issue, but removal of multiple posts from a lengthy discussion is seriously disruptive.

Fun fact: the forums may not allow for new account registrations and for existing users to add new posts or replies, but they still allow for existing account logins, and for unfettered reactions and edits to existing posts, it's hilarious.

No, really… I was feeling a bit bad about my last message, as Serif did extend their Mac and PC trials (iPadOS users were never affected, as they just offered free licenses and that was that) until the end of the month, so I decided to give it ago, and guess what, I could edit it.

For now, the Affinity forums will be read-only, and they've begun a "new community space, Discord (affin.link/dc)". This sounds like whatever Serif called Community Plus or something a few years ago when they began abandoning the Serif-Plus members. I wonder how long before they disappear the now read-only forums, leaving subscribers without some helpful information.
