LOL, no. You don’t get banned for being inoffensively funny. Besides, there have been hundreds of spammers who were banned before you ever came near this site: the ‘security’ measures prevented real people from registering but somehow let the spambots in, which is why I had to disable automated signup.

What she said! Although I have to confess that I found the following (my emphasis) a little fishy:
For those who understand such things we have a Submissions guide but we must stress we would rather have an article than not. Also it stops two people whiting similar articles in isolation.
We are working on multiple History/Heritage books as well as the magazine. Some are going to be hardback books, so pleased to see the section on Print-Media in this forum.
