Alfred, as an veteran i the Affinity Community, have you any hope on an bright future for the Affinity Suite?

We all have some sort of love & hate relationship with Serif Labs, and, me (and a lot of others) are very disappointed that Serif hasn’t delivered the features on respective app that we strongly has demanded.

What to expect in about six hour?

Indeed, there are many areas of improvement, and hopefully, the new release of Creative Freedom will bring us more interesting features and better stability.

What is your favorite feature for Affinity? Mine is exporting more smoother SVG (not a circle with 16 nodes if 4 is enough for example).

I’ve always regarded the Shape Tools in the Affinity apps as being a better version of the old QuickShapes, but there are many ‘Plus’ features yet to be implemented (e.g. Blend, Connection, and Dimension Tools). There are also buggy features such as the ‘Expand Curve’ command that have long been in desperate need of fixing.

The Affinity Revolution reply is somewhat in the middle. What led me to believe there is no subscription coming is that Ally told us that it is good news and not to worry. If it were a subscription, she would not say that because she knows how users feel.

Anyway, it is only 12 days from now, and I expect a kind of teaser coming from Serif.

That assurance doesn’t fit my understanding of not saying anything! However, it’s good to hear.

It appears that all the initial panic about a subscription is unwarranted.

Thank you for your reply and viewpoint. However, I do not fully understand the information you wrote. I am not a native English speaker, so probably that is the reason why I do not understand.

Maybe a platform like this sets you up for that. I do not know but I have seen it in almost any place I have looked for information. Also the buddy system is alive and well but that has been going on forever plus one. All enjoy the ride and looking forward to find out what is up.
