There were several other similar Canva posts. Canva is pushing that Canva == AI as much as Canva == templates.

I am sure the fanboys will make excuses for Canva just as MAGA still make excuses for Trump.

OK, so as you clearly think that knowing my business is relevant to answering your question: yes, integrity is and has always been important in my work. I was a teacher by profession and I now volunteer for a charity.

I don't use any form of AI for anything. I do a lot of DTP work as an amateur for all sorts of reasons, and have done for over three decades, and never once have I been asked what software I use. If I were asked, I would happily state that I now use Affinity Studio. If anyone raised any concerns about AI, I would simply tell them that I do not subscribe to Canva AI, and therefore cannot use AI in my work.

I don't know any DTP software that does not offer some form of AI these days, but I shall have to bow to your superior knowledge in this field. Adobe remains the industry standard and does offer AI, which is why I asked that question.

I appreciate that it might not be quite so simple for you.

(education in particular)

In my profession we developed AI, but that was not in a creative industry. None of us would ever think of using it for generating words.
In addition, AI and LLM's will generate buggy proofs that are not a proof. This was being discussed in a [closed] critical systems forum

So it depends on your profession if you are happy to be connected to AI in your work. As I said due to their current marketing Canva has reinforced that Canva ==AI in the world's perception.

As for not telling people what Sw we use: the team and authors know.
Many of the authors are academics and as noted they don't approve of AI.
