OK, thank you again for all your help! The fan issue seems to be somewhat intermittent, so perhaps it's not all due to the Serif program (?). I'll plan to keep an eye on the issue. Thanks!

Heather - when your fan runs faster it's because your pc/laptop is getting hot and needs more cooling. It has nothing to do with your Serif software unless you are perhaps using MoviePlus and doing heavy processing such as rendering for hours.

If you are using a laptop make sure you are not blocking any of the ventilation inlets.

Quick question now... As I've begun using this program, my computer's fan begins to be fairly loud. It appears to be only when I'm using the Serif program I just installed on my new computer. Thoughts on this?

UPDATE: It's not doing it to the same degree. Previously when the fan was running really loud, I was charging my computer too. Now that I'm not charging it, I did use Serif and the fan didn't go on. Would there have been a reason it was doing that earlier? I'll proceed for now... just didn't want the new Serif program downloaded to be hurting my new computer (I really don't know computer super well!) Again, thank you for all your help... much appreciated!

I'm not aware of anywhere where you can download PPX8 from. Hopefully someone may be able to help you. Otherwise I should have the file somewhere and I'll have a look tomorrow. It's currently nearly midnight for me.

The Product Key is separate to optional registration. You need the PK to activate your PPX8 when you install it on a new pc.

As GB said it's in the Registration Wizard. It's at the very bottom of the box.

I've called twice to register my product, and they said, "unfortunately our offices are now closed". I called at different times of the day too.

I opened my program on my old computer. I had not officially Registered my product, so when I clicked on Help/Registration, it opened a box that said "Please register your product". It gave me some phone numbers and a Registration Code & Installation Number. Are those the numbers I need? I can't find a product key.

You need to have the product key. If you have not kept a record of it, you will find it on your old computer under Help/Registration Wizard.
