I really ignored AI for quite a long time, most especially since I'm retired. I figured it would have little affect on me, and I don't have children or grandchildren who might be affected. But, my sibs do. So, I've been watching tons of vids, and doing lots of play with Copilot and ChatGPT. Yesterday, I was working with Copilot on an idea to take specific kinds of junk mail...of which I seem to get plenty...and develop an app where a photo or scan could be submitted to verify that the piece of mail is total scam. That's got more underneath it than I can get into here, but there is certain type of junk mail that comes around here that looks quite real, and we're a community of seniors.

In the meantime, ChatGPT will be the engine that runs inside of StoryChopped.com, and eventually in BackPorchPress.com.

Have fun with your floorplan. I did the same kind of thing before moving back into my house this last December.

I've not got into the AI stuff as yet. There was a talk I went to on using it for genealogy research but even then, they were saying that you have to be fairly precise in your query, and you still have to check the results to validate, so it seems almost as much hard work as just getting on with it. I'll probably get around to it one day, but only when I have lots of free time to spare, which isn't the case right now.

My current plan seems to be most viable - printed out enlarged copies made in CA2 of the house plans (recognising that their scale is only approximate), and as I already have the measurements for the various items, I'm just popping those in prospective spots with arrows each way. Just really need an idea of what could go where.
