So I was browsing and I saw this and wondered, and am still wondering, what exactly is it?

Hmm, so my mind went back to student days of multiplying matrices, and I thought

"What would a mini matrix be in a mathematical sense?"

Maybe a 1 x 1 matrix?

I searched the web.

One page purports it is a scalar, but is it?

What else could a mini matrix (in a mathematical sense}?

But a two-in-one-thread, what is a mini matrix in that Tesco web page?
