I note the deckle edge on this picture, contrasted with the clear edge on the previous picture.

I later realized that I used a term from papermaking.

I have known the term deckle edged since the mid-1960s due to my interest in, and activity in, letterpress private press printing.

So used in the post out of its original context, but the edge of the picture just looked like that.

Rather than go off on a tangent about deckle edge paper etc in this thread I have started a new thread to go off on a tangent.

Please produce an original painting 1536 pixels wide by 1024 pixels tall.
Along the top of the picture is a plain white area 240 pixels tall.
Below the plain white area is a picture of a flower meadow, with rose bay willow herbs.

[Copilot]
Here’s your original painting! A serene flower meadow with rose bay willow herbs awaits. Let me know if you’d like any refinements.

I note the deckle edge on this picture, contrasted with the clear edge on the previous picture.

Earlier today I tried putting the white area at the top of the picture.

Subsequent note.

The transcript is now in the next post.

the plain white area in the previous picture was approximately two thirds of the height requested

My guess is that this is caused by the (new to Copilot) landscape format, where the 1024 px height is exactly two thirds of the 1536 px width.

[I started Copilot again and it gave me a new chat. A transcript of my notes follows.]

[Noting that the plain white area in the previous picture was approximately two thirds of the height requested, I am now trying requesting a plain white area one and a half times what I really want.]
