Thanks for the tip, GB, makes perfect sense of course!
But Alfred emailed me with a solution that has worked perfectly, so I am now back in the happy land of PagePlus!
Thanks for all your help, guys, isn't this a wonderful community? :-)

Hi all
I've used PP for many many years for all kinds of projects, including two graphic-heavy books, and loads of graphic-heavy Parish Newsletters (examples here (I'm quite proud of them!): https://st-nicolas-taplow.org/parish-newsletters/
I've just spent several thousands on a new computer (the old one starting to not boot up...) and, although I have Affinity Publisher (which I'm trying to get to grips with!) on the new machine, I'd really like to stick with my dear old PP X9 for a while.
Trouble is... my new gleaming monster PC comes without... a DVD drive
Can I copy the files from the original DVD and double-click Autostart or whatever it's called? Or is the program available somewhere on t'internet? I have looked... and I don't understand why Serif don't offer PagePlus as a free download, if they think it's so rubbish? For me, PP has been brilliant.
