Yes, it is easy(ish). As you know, you get the 'Manage Unlock Codes' from the MvP that is already installed on the old computer and Export and save them etc.
Again thank you. It has installed.
The next thing will be getting the codes in. I still have the instructions you gave me from a few years back.
Thanks Alfred. I'll try that. The disc looks perfect as it's only been used about 4 times and is kept in its plastic case but, I will try what you said... just in case there is something in the tracks.

I've got a new mini pc and an external DVD player. I've just installed quite a lot of old software like PhotoPlus but when I try to install MvP I go through the stages of filling in the Product Key, then when I click the instal button, the DVD player just makes a whirring noise (non-stop) and does not retrieve data. Even cancel does not work and I have to press the button on the dvd player to stop it. There are then pages, as 'it' calls it, of ''verbose logging' on the screen.
I also tried MvP X5 and there was the same problem.
{Thanks to this forum a number of years ago, I installed MvP and managed to copy and save the codes and hence use them}.
If I had an alternative dvd player I would have tried that.
Is there a way to instal the disc - or files on it?

Brilliant - thanks Alfred. I've found it, viz ESDPK-PPX9-PagePlus-en GB-exe from back in 2017.
Just checking... with it being the executable program, I can just copy that on to an SD card or USB memory stick and then eventually run it on my new computer??
[BTW, thank you for producing this forum - it's much appreciated, as was all your input in the bygone' days of the old Serif forum]

Sorry to be a bit dim on this... but where would the installer file usually be found on a computer and does it have a special name or identifier ending to specify it is an installer file?

I have discs for PP X4 to X8 but my X9 was only the downloaded version for which I have the Key etc.
I will be changing computers soon. Is there a way of 'getting' the X9 off my old PC to then be be installed on my new PC?

I'm asking this question in the Discussion part (rather than individual 'Plus sections) because it is for nearly all the old Serif software.
I'm having to buy a new desktop computer. The old one started as a W7 but is now W10 and all teh programs work well.
I've seen on this forum there is a small problem with W11 and DrawPlus, but was wondering that if I move to W11 Pro on a new computer, are there any problems with the other programs. My main concerns are:
PagePlus X9
PhotoPlus X8
MoviePlus X5
