change the DrawPlus document width to 368 mm (i.e. 390 - 22 mm).

Many thanks, how would I do this please?

why isn’t the left-hand edge at x=30 instead of x=22?

It should be, 22mm looks about right. I have never been able to get on with software calibration. However, the [pdf] registration results I am getting in DrawPlus are far superior to what I was able to achieve using MS Paint on its own, which has no possibility for consistent registration at all.

I don't know what the relative size-defaults for MS Paint are, I think I better leave them be, & hopefully trim DrawPlus to fit? This would certainly make thing easier smile

One draw-back with pdf printing, though, is it defaults to 'full page', whereas my printer, otherwise, allows me to print half or quarter size images, useful for proofing, if you don't want a full size image every time - which, of course, will be hungry for ink :-o

Is it possible to freeze the dimensions of my images (located in MS Paint), so I can snap them straight into the blue A3 rectangle please?

In other words, when I load the first of a project image into DrawPlus, & am happy with it, freeze the dimensions, so that all subsequent Paint files, in that project, can fit to it?

The dimensions I'm using are circled in red. If I fit or snap to A3, it will distort the original image.

Thanks

A glitch has been the default-to-bw on pdf printing.

This had me running around changing inks, when all that was needed was to reset the print window to 'colour'.

I don't know why the bw option prints in bars, but I don't ever consciously print in bw anyway.

The ghosty 'A2' in the background is just from the surface I photographing on.

Also 'shrink to fit'

Thanks Alfred,

Early days smile

I selected A3 which gave me a bigger target window, & a therefore an apparent smaller image to insert, this made dragging the size around do-able.

Have also managed to convert the image to pdf + registration marks, which is going to be fun, when I drop other files on top of it, which will also have those precise marks.

When you set up your A4 document, what resolution (‘DPI’) did you choose? What are the pixel dimensions of the image that you’re trying to use?

Many thanks. The image size is 2MB.

4096 x 2952 pixels.

The resolution is 180 pixels / inch.

But the image is so large that I cannot resize it manually, by push-pulling the edge, because it is relatively gigantic, relative to the A4 format I have chosen.

Is there no way to 'snap' an image to the chosen format in DrawPlus please?

Hi,

In DrawPlus, when I insert an image - using A4 format - the image appears too large.

How do I fit my saved image, to the A4 rectangle, in DrawPlus please?

Many thanks!

Oh wow - thanks - that's fantastic - good ol' Serif does it again!

Hi,

Can you create PDF artwork in DrawPlus please?

I've never worked this way before, but I saw that PDF art often has '+' registration marks
at the corners. This would help me a lot because I am experimenting with print-on-print
images.

Many thanks!

Thanks Alfred - I have the dvd + booklet, but I may never have triggered DrawPlus, because I used WebPlus instead - but WebPlus will not help me with my current project, which is graphics, not web design.

Thus, I have no product key.

The parallel Affinity Design is not available until the end of October.

Hi,

I have DrawPlus, but cannot find my registration details.

Assistance please.

Cap Cut PC does a colour-curve application.

Do any other video edit softwares do this please?

Hi - I need a 'colour-change' segment in a video, like going through all the colours in the spectrum, but I can't do this, because the chroma (?) control lines are locked, you can't change the colour like you can change the opacity, with up & down linear control lines.

But can it be done?

The discontinued Windows MovieMaker had this colour control function, I can't remember what it was called. You could have a still image, for example, & set the colour control, so that it would slowly cycle through all colours in the available spectrum.

Is there a way to do this in Serif MoviePlus X5 please?

Many thanks!

Thanks Alfred for allowing me to join! smile

I use MoviePlus X5.

Recently, I shot a video on a Lumix camera/cam, creating a file which Serif could not open.

I converted it into a VEGAS file on Vegas, which Serif could open - then I was able to load & edit it.

Over the years, I have used many video edit softwares: Pinnacle, Adobe, to name a couple - they all failed. Vegas is up & running, but I prefer Serif MPx5. I only use Vegas if I encounter a problem I can't sort otherwise.
