Hi Alfred, I have got it onto my computer now but there is a compatibility problem I am trying to solve.

Thanks for the progress report, Jim!

Please tell us more about the compatibility problem. Are you on Windows 10 or 11? What compatibility mode(s) have you tried?

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Hello Eric/Alfred, Is it possible to get a latest MoviePlus X6 link as per JIM. I'm looking to put it onto my new Windows 11 laptop. I see you mention there are specific codecs required. By the looks of them they're quite outdated but I do remember them. Would a copy of 'Gordian Knot' be of any benefit?
Kind Regards

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Hi Alfred,
I have it on my computer so thank you for all your help.

However, I am having a problem saving my films to MP4 for YouTube and Facebook. I can export the films made on Movie Plus to my old computer and continue to transfer them to MP4; what would be wrong there?

I should add I am online but it will not convert to MP4, then a request comes up for help if not online. On my other computer, I converted Mp4 for YouTube and it always worked without an issue

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Jim

1 - What is the "problem" exporting as mp4?  What happens, or doesn't happen?

2 - Did you export your codecs from MVPX6 on your old computer to a file which you used to import them into MVPX6 on your new computer?  Judging by some of your previous confusing comments I suspect you haven't and that could be the cause of your "problem".

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Mark

"Gordian Knot" is a new one for me.  I don't understand its relevance

You need to export your unlocked codecs codes from MVPX6 on your old computer to a file which you then use to import them into MVPX6 on your new computer.  In MVP it's found from the top menus at Tools/Options/ Advanced - Manage Unlock Codes.  There you will find Import and Export buttons.

I'll send you a PM shortly.

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Hi Alfred & Ericlnz. Thank you both for your kind advice.

Yes, I did export the codes, but have messed this up somehow. I have the unlocked codes and It appears to be the problem of moving them into the new computer's Movie Plus X6?

Therefore, what have I to do to complete this task? I have looked at the Tools on the tool bar but cannot see any entry point, in the new computer.

EVERYTHING IS WORKING GREAT NOW SO THANK YOU ALL FOR THE PATIENCE AND HELP RECEIVED!  BEST WISHES  JIM

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

All you need to do Jim is to run MVPX6, open up the "Tools" menu and select "Options" from the drop down menu. From the left hand pane select "Advanced", then click on "Manage Unlock Codes". Click on "Import" at the bottom left of the screen. Now simply navigate to where you have saved the unlock codes - highlight the file and click on "Open, bottom right of the screen.

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Thank you, Albert, I have just done that. I had been looking at Tools but did not remember the Advanced area. Whatever, I have fixed it now so all is working fine. I am grateful for everyone's input to get my Movie Plus X6 working on the new computer. BEST WISHES TO EVERYONE FOR ALL THE HELP  JIM

Re: MoviePlus X6 installation

Thanks Eric and heads up Alfred. Was able to download and install MVP X6. The reference to Gordian Knot was when I was big into audio and recording music and the 'Knot' was a great help in piecing audio and video back in the day with xvid et al. The wonderschlott movie was classic memory. A bit like 'Bill and Ben', not like I was around then smile
