Thanks for all your help. However, I have reinstalled the software and it now works as I expected. No more cut and paste, just make the clone (alt & click) then move the mouse so the clone is where you want it, and click. Simples!
One problem is that when I move the mouse, and therefore the clone, the clone disappears within a couple of seconds. I can get it back by moving the clone slightly, but again, it's transient. I thought that when I did this before I could move the clone and it would paste into the pic when I right clicked. Am I remembering wrongly? I don't remember having to faff around with copy-and-paste.
But right clicking does not bring up the choice of copy.
But how do I make a copy of my selection without moving the mouse?
I'm sure that I used to clone by putting the cursor on, say, a head then alt/click and reposition the circle and click. This would paste the head in the new position. But this doesn't work now. I can put the cursor on the head, alt/click, move the mouse, click to insert the image in the new position, but it won't insert. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks. But before I do all that, will this extend beyond the limits of the larger picture. Unless it does it's not going to work.
When I say PPX8 I meant Photo Plus X8, not Page Plus.
I want to be able to add someone onto a group photo. They were right at the edge and were cut off. I've got a pic of them on their own. What's the best way to tack them on the edge?
I find I need to get pretty close to the edge of the paper with printing. How do I make sure that I don't get any graphics cut off?
I have text which in some cases will resize if I alert the box, in others it stays the same and may even be too big for the box if I shrink the latter. Have I made some setting that I haven't realised?

The edit button only appears after I've sent the reply!
So I've now added an image.
Ok so I want to send an image. But the only option is to use 'attach image to post'. There's no 'edit' button.
Is it possible to upload an image in native ppp format? The system refuses to load them!

Trouble is, nothing will select. The whole page moves as one object.
I seem to be having a real problem! I want to send you a pic but when I click 'Add image to text' it opens up but there is no sign of the file!!!
I want to change the text in part of my page, but I cannot see how to do it. Presumably delete what was there and write some more, but how to?
