Topic: Digital Asset Manager Features

I hope this is okay to ask this here.  This post can be deleted or moved if not.

I like Adobe Bridge CS3.  I also have the CS6 version but, for whatever reason, I stick with Bridge CS3.

This is fine for my old Mac that can still run CS3 but I don't have anything for my modern Macs.  I have tried some that were recommended on the Serif forums and elsewhere way back when, but really haven't found anything to my liking.

So, I am going to attempt to create my own.  And that's a heavy emphasis on attempt.  I might, quite possibly, utterly fail in this attempt.

Anyway, I know what I want and the features I am going to try to include.  And I am doing this primarily for myself.  But, if it actually ends up working, I may release it.  I don't know if I'll try to sell it or just give it away or maybe try the old shareware method.  Doesn't really matter until and if I have a working application.

What features would others want to see?  Even if I can't figure out how to add it in the first version, maybe at least I can try to plan ahead and build in some flexibility to add it later.  What would you consider to be the most important features?

As for platform, I know it will at least run on a Mac.  I'd like to make it cross-platform, but my main effort is going to be Mac because that is what I use.  If I can do multi-platform, I'll do multi-platform.

And, again, nothing may come of this and this might turn into a discussion of what we all want to see in a digital asset manager.  And that's fine.  But I am going to make an attempt regardless.

TIA!
