Topic: Chilled drinks ooh shudder

I enjoy various drinks, for example these,

Alpro chocolate

and Alpro strawberry

In fact, as they are screw top, I often have half a 250 millilitre pack mixed with an equal quantity of the unsweetened soya drink. So a not so strong drink, but two flavoured drinks at different times of a day.

On the packs, and on some other drinks, like pure fruit juice, there is a message,

Best served chilled.

I never drink them chilled. I store them at ambient temperature and drink them at ambient temperature.

I am wondering, do people here like chilled drinks or do people shun chilled drinks.

Is it part of the culture that people are presumed to like chilled drinks?

What if it’s wintertime and your heating has broken down? They may well be chilled if you store and drink them at ambient temperature!

I can drink coffee at any temperature but I prefer tea to be either moderately hot or ice cold. Milky beverages such as soya drink are more pleasant at either considerably above or a little below room temperature. Fruit juice and carbonated drinks are better consumed cold.
