Topic: Sunday Bizarro

This is for aficionados of Bizarro, others need not reply, or even bother reading.

Alfred, todays Bizarro has 13 objects, of which I can find 12. The one that logic tells me ought to be there, but which I can't find, is the eye.

If you can be bothered, can you see all 13, or at least the eye?

For those who don't know, the Bizarro comic strip picture(s) hold hidden objects, from a range defined  somewhere, I have forgotten where. The weekday strips usually contain up to about 7 objects, but the Sunday strip is usually one picture, in colour, and there are more objects thsn in the weekday strips. The number in each day's strip panels is shown just by the Bizarro signature - you have to look for it.

I’ve only just started looking, but I’ll let you know if I find it!

Using your favourite search engine to look for something like Bizarro dynamite pie should unearth the following page:

Here’s a nice one from last week:

Re: Sunday Bizarro

So only the eye remains by me unseen.

BTW, I did like the British Neurosurgery humour panel. I did wonder about posting it on the day.

I see what you did there, Jack! https://punster.me/images/biggrin.gif

I only found it after spotting the O2 (the latter being one that I often have trouble finding). For anyone else who wants to have a go, here’s the rather clearer original image:

I’ve just noticed the box of ‘chicken hats’ in that one. Very reminiscent of Feathers McGraw!

Re: Sunday Bizarro

Thanks for the clue, Alfred. Not very noticeable!

What was your source for the cartoon? I go to Arcamax, but the drawing is not as sharp as your upload.

Go to the Cartoons (Bizarro Archives) page, where the introductory paragraph says:

If you’re looking for the Daily Comic or a specific cartoon, try the Bizarro page hosted by my syndicate, King Features.

Re: Sunday Bizarro

I got a little sidetracked while trying to retrace my steps to the Bizarro Archives, and the result was this serendipitous find:

Re: Sunday Bizarro

Have you compared the Sunday 6 Feb cartoon on the Bizarro site with that on the King Features site?

Portrait vs. letterbox.

But not Saturday - same aspect ratio.

No, I hadn’t compared them. An interesting observation, and I’m curious as to how/why that came about.

I’m officially confused now! I’ve found that cartoon in landscape format on both bizarro.com and comicskingdom.com. Where can I see it in portrait format?

Re: Sunday Bizarro

BIG EDIT, sorry>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I've screwed it up again, senior moments and relying on useless short term memory (~1nSec)

I meant today's bizarro comic.

The Bizarro.com shows it as a "square", that is nearly square, perhaps, without going to it to measure it, ratio 4x5, wxh, and the kingdom site as a letterbox.

Hopefully I can incorporate both here.

This means that, in the bizarro .com panel,  the elements in the picture itself are disposed differently, to coin terms "squarewise" whereas the Kingdom panel is disposed "letterboxwise"

It can't be a browser difference, as this particular Tuesday panel must have been redrawn. It doesn't happen when comparing other day's comics.

The bizarro site:

Ah, that would explain it! Thank you.

Today , Sunday 15th May '22

It says there are 9 objects.  I can see 7 objects easily distinguished and K7, which is clear but partially hidden.

But there must be one more object, and I just can not find it. Any suggestions?

BTW, I view Bizarro  on Sundays on https://comicskingdom.com/bizarro.  It has a much sharper image there than on https://www.arcamax.com/thefunnies/bizarro, the one I use during the week.

I presume you meant K2, but it doesn’t look very hidden to me!

I’ve found nine objects without too much difficulty. Apart from the K2, the Eyeball of Observation, and the Flying Saucer of Possibility, all of the objects — including a duplicated not-very-lost loafer — are on the floor or the furnishings.

The weekday images are also available on Comics Kingdom. Why bother viewing on ArcaMax at all?

Re: Sunday Bizarro

It's cheating - the loafer is part of the body of the man, not a separate entity. Anyway, thanks.

By partially hidden, I meant it was not like the others, a separate entity, you had to distinguish it from its background.

BTW, While I am writing this on my desktop,  I am also trying to look at this website (punster.me) on my laptop - It wants me to sign in - and I have forgotten the password.

Advice, please.....

Re: Sunday Bizarro

Looks as if I'm OK now

I agree that it’s cheating, but it definitely looks like a standard Lost Loafer. And I can’t see anything else that could be the ninth object.

I don’t recall ever seeing a K2 or O2 that isn’t part of the wrinkles or shading on skin or fabric.

Thanks for the update! I presume you either remembered the password or managed to retrieve it via the ‘new password’ link.

Re: Sunday Bizarro

No. I just entered my username, and it accepted it.

I will change the password, and can do that on both machines.  Cheers!

EDIT.
OOPS!!!

I went to profile, change password, and I have to enter the present one first. No can do!

Now what, please?

Re: Sunday Bizarro

You need to enter your current password if you want to change it when you’re logged in, but if you’ve forgotten your password it’s assumed that you can’t log in. In the latter case, simply use the new password link and put your email address in the box to get instructions sent to you.

Re: Sunday Bizarro

Sorry to seem dense, Alfred, but I can't find a "new password" link.

Using the link you gave in your last post just went back to the top level index/contents list page.

From my profile page, only Change Password and Change Email Address  links are available, both needing entry of current password..

Do you mean I should email you as per instructions at top of contents list page, re registration?

As I wrote yesterday:

In other words, you need to be logged out in order for the ‘new password’ link to work as designed. And when you’re logged out, the login page displays its own ‘new password’ link (which is where I got it from).

Re: Sunday Bizarro

Finally got it!

Changed  password, and logged in.

Great, thanks.

However, does logging in make any difference to reading or posting?

Good news! And you’re welcome.

You certainly can’t post when you’re not logged in, and I don’t think you can download attachments, but you should be able to read posted messages. Since the forum doesn’t know that it’s you, the next time you do log in you’ll have some ‘new’ messages that you’ve already read.
