Topic: Print Screen problem on my computer

For many years, on other computers running Windows, I had been able to do a Print Screen by pressing a specific keyboard button and then I could paste an image of the screen content at that time into another program, such as Paint.

I am not able to do that at present on this Windows 11 computer.

I know that some websites have protective measures to prevent such copying.

However, I have just tried a Print Screen of a WordPad document that I started and added the word Test at 72 point and I cannot get a Print Screen of that.

The screen goes grey and there is a small panel at the top with small logos of a camera and two others.

Maybe I am not carrying out some choice to make it work.

Does anyone know please?

I seem to have solved it.

It seems that one needs to go to the third logo from the left, open a drop down menu and select Full Screen.

I can then paste into Paint.

Yet I have not found anything that says that one needs to do that,

The linked page describes the use of the Windows key together with the Print Screen key to save your screenshot as an image file. Wouldn’t that be simpler than involving Microsoft Paint in the procedure?

Yes, probably.

But at the time I was trying to get it to work at all.
