Topic: Art experiment using emoji

Can anyone get this to display please?

I am using a Windows 10 computer bought some years ago as a backup machine and it was reduced price as not the latest model when bought.

Oh, the file has a .htm extension and the forum won't accept it.

So i will change the name to have a .txt extension, but it is meant to be .htm really.

You don't have the permssions to download the attachments of this post.

Re: Art experiment using emoji

The attachment seems be only 36 bytes, and it displays here as a row of question marks. Perhaps you could share it in the message body of a post here by using ‘code’ markup.

As a side note, I haven’t seen a *.htm file (as distinct from *.html, *.shtml, *.xhtml, etc) in a very long time.

Re: Art experiment using emoji

Here is a try.

I constructed it in WordPad by finding the emoji as copy and paste items from emojipedia.

For example, not one I used,

emoji pineapple

https://emojipedia.org/pineapple

Emoji usually do not get posted in this forum, so I will try in a separate post so that these notes get posted.

Re: Art experiment using emoji

No, it won't post.

Can you try renaming the downloaded file to have .html as the file extension please and then try opening it as a local file in a web browser program please?

It is 15 characters originally, of which most are not in plane 0 and those are probably each represented in the file by two surrogate characters. I think that two ZWJ characters are included.

So that would make (13 times 2) plus 2 characters and there might be a BYTE ORDER MARK character in there two and possibly a CARRIAGE RETURN and a LINE FEED at the end.

I’m pretty sure there’s a hex dump utility available for download from the High-Logic Forums. That or any similar utility should show you exactly what characters are represented in your file.

Well, it was, from the second post in the following thread.

https://forum.high-logic.com/t/obtainin … ument/2342

but the forum looks different from how it used to look and the file will not download, but maybe it is some connectivity problem and it will be fine later, maybe it is just this computer.

But I cannot usei t at present as I am using a Windows 10 S computer at this time and I don't want to unlock it.

Re: Art experiment using emoji

Well, here it is as a detail from a print screen image from WordPad.

It would look much better in colour, and with the sequences displayed correctly.

The emoji used are as follows.

https://emojipedia.org/window

https://emojipedia.org/sheaf-of-rice

https://emojipedia.org/full-moon

Re: Art experiment using emoji

I love the ‘succinct’ English version of the title of that piece:

Tsukasa and Other Courtesans of the Ogiya Watching the Autumn Moon Rise Over Rice Fields from a Balcony in the Yoshiwara

The detail in that drawing is astonishing. But then, Hokusai never ceases to astonish me.

[WJGO]
Please produce an original landscape impressionist style painting that is 1536 pixels wide and 1024 pixels tall.
On the left side rabatment there is a window.
Left of the window, two ladies in traditional Japanese summer attire, facing right, are looking through the window.
Right of the window, a field of rice plants growing.
At the right of the picture, a full moon.
The moon has just risen above the horizon.

[Copilot]
Here’s your impressionist-style landscape painting, capturing the serene moment with a window framing the scene and the moon rising above the horizon. Let me know if you’d like any refinements!
