Thanks for the interesting link, William. When I read the headline I immediately thought of the ‘glassy metal’ that was shown to me about forty years ago.

Unlike ordinary metals, amorphous or ‘glassy’ metals have a glass-like structure instead of a crystalline structure in their solid state. However, unlike ordinary glass they have good electrical conductivity.
