Topic: Writing posts - is there a do/undo feature
I often make a mistake and accidentally delete some lines.
Is there a do/undo function available?

Ctrl+x, Ctrl+z?
Thanks, Geoff, but these instructions don't cater for accidental deletion of text.
What I need would be, in the nature of things, instructions relating to the post writing environment, the sort of thing you would find in the toolbar above the text insert writing panel.
Anyone able to advise re do/undo facility?
As discussed previously, there’s nothing like the Undo/Redo toolbar buttons that we had on the CommunityPlus Forum. For those who want full control of such things, I suspect that the simplest solution would be to use a separate text editor to compose the message (which could then be copied and pasted into a text box here).
Alfred... I totally agree.
Quite some time ago I developed the habit of using a text editor to write my alleged words of wisdom for inclusion in applications such as this. I had formerly used such tools for writing complex SQL code and as a result developed an appreciation for their utility.
I currently use the freebie Jarte, which has more than enough firepower for my current needs and permits easy insertion of text into a text box. It also includes an easy to use undo/redo in the "Edit" dropdown.
I admit using a text editor might make the whole process of writing posts a bit more cumbersome, but it also allows the author to access the additional features so many text editors have. If I'm going to write more than just a few words I fire up Jarte.
Jarte is quite nice. It’s a pity it’s no longer being developed, but on the positive side this means that the ‘premium’ version is now available for free.
The other advantage of using a separate text editor is that it keeps a copy of the text in case your browser decides to crash before you’ve had a chance to post a longish message.
I'm not running up Jarte at this instant, it's too late, but will these post writing panels accept text underlined in Jarte, rather than the [ u ]the[ /u ] needed here?

It appears not.
