I have got a licence but lost my disk. I have had all sorts of iffy downloads and just wanted a genuine copy, can anyone offer me one or simply where to download it please. Appreciate this forum so much what would we all do without it.

I have discs for PP X4 to X8 but my X9 was only the downloaded version for which I have the Key etc.
I will be changing computers soon. Is there a way of 'getting' the X9 off my old PC to then be be installed on my new PC?

You can’t transfer an installed copy from one PC to another, but if you still have the installer file that you downloaded when you purchased PPX9 you can simply copy that to your new PC and run it from there. If you need a fresh copy of the installer file I can arrange to make a download link available to you.

Sorry to be a bit dim on this... but where would the installer file usually be found on a computer and does it have a special name or identifier ending to specify it is an installer file?

It would usually be found in your Downloads folder. There should be a link to that folder on your browser’s toolbar, although its exact appearance will depend on the browser you use.
The full name of the installer file for WebPlus X8 (UK English) is ESDPK-WPX8-WebPlusX8-en-GB.exe, but you won’t see the ‘.exe’ extension unless you’ve told Windows File Explorer not to hide filename extensions for known file types.

Just checking... with it being the executable program, I can just copy that on to an SD card or USB memory stick and then eventually run it on my new computer??

That’s correct. For best results, copy it to a folder on the new computer’s hard drive and run it from there, rather than trying to run it from a removable drive.
