Topic: webplus x2 Photos not uploaded to server

Hi there, for the first time in a long time I altered my website on the computer which was only to change the colour of the master page. After uploading the first file to the server which happens to be the homepage all my pictures and buttons are missing. I noticed the message...'some pictures have been blocked to help prevent the sender from identifying your computer. open this item to view the pictures'
It is either the webplus x2 program or something on my computer which has caused this and not the server.
I have looked into windows defender and firewall with no joy.
So at the moment my website homepage looks dreadful. I dare not upload any more pages as the same will happen judging by the now noticed previews. I cannot regain the old files.

What browser are you using to view your site? Old copy of Internet Explorer?  Chrome? Firefox?  I believe the error message is coming from your browser.

Can you post the url of your webpage to see if everyone is seeing your home page as you are seeing it?

I am using Chrome but also my partner viewed it on safari. Also the server files show the same error. We use Just Host as our service provider.

I am sure the problem is my end in sending the images to our server correctly. Thry are not getting them.

Are you using cPanel?

using cPanel

Re: webplus x2 Photos not uploaded to server

If you use the built-in FTP uploader in WebPlus it will put everything in the correct subfolder automatically. If you’re using cPanel, you need to manually create subfolders such as ‘wpscripts’ for any scripts used, and ‘wpimages’ for the images, and you need to make sure that you upload the content to the appropriate subfolder.

Re: webplus x2 Photos not uploaded to server

Thankyou for your replies.

cPanel...The website has been used for 13 years and those sub folders have been there too with all the files in the correct place. Something has happened to cause this error. The error only occurred when I did a colour change to the master page background. I have done these colour changes before with no problems.

FTP Uploader....Hasn't connected for years and I do not know why as all the fields written correctly.

Re: webplus x2 Photos not uploaded to server

It is definitely computer related. I just looked at an older unused folder on my computer from 2018 which has all the web files and they are showing the same message.

Thanks for the photo, but I’m afraid it’s too low resolution for me to make out the details. Instead of pointing a digital camera at the screen, please use the Snipping Tool or Snip & Sketch.

Are you sure your FTP connection details haven’t changed? In particular, many web hosts now use more secure types of FTP that may not be supported by WPX2.
