Topic: Free hosting sites

I still have WebPlus X5 which I used for my personal website a few years ago.  Unfortunately Webring where I had it have disappeared and I haven't found another free hosting site where I can upload pages to.  Most free sites require you to use their web creators.

But then websites are becoming a thing of the past as nowadays folk prefer to use Facebook etc.

Re: Free hosting sites

I host many of my sites on R4L.com where they offer a domain name (or bring your own) and 10 Mb space with email aliases for U.S.$16 annually. Not free but pretty close. And no requirement to use any particular software, just don't make it a big site for that price.  I despise Facebook and don't use it.

000webhost is free if you only have one small website and you don’t need multiple FTP accounts.

Re: Free hosting sites

I contacted r4l.com 3 times.  I emailed,  Facebook message and chat message on their site and no one ever got back to me. I even mentioned that one of their current customers referred me to them. Still nothing.

Re: Free hosting sites

Sorry to hear about that experience.
