Re: Post your videos here
Thanks Paul. I had a look at Stockholm on Google maps after viewing it. I see what you mean about the islands. I wonder how Stockholm will cope with our expected sea level rise?

Yes a quick interesting video Paul. Personally I don't like hurried up skimming from place to place trips, and prefer to make my own way (but that's just me). It always makes me smile for Nobel "dynamite" and "peace prize" in one sentence !
At this moment we are in Spain until the end of October and hoping to do some of my "lost drives" into the campo to find those little abandoned villages that have half a dozen people still living in them.
On the subject of rising sea levels, as we have been in the same place in Spain for 50 years I have pictures of the local landscape and beaches to look at "then and now" to notice the change over that period. Some of the beaches have completely disappeared from view and are just cliffs and sea.
As many of you head towards winter we look forward to summer and here's Spring
You lucky thing Eric, as you look forward to summer, we have to put up with winter, but first there is the Autumn season to look forward to and all of the glorious colours.
We paid our second visit to Great Dixter in East Sussex last week.
As many of you head towards winter we look forward to summer and here's Spring
Well done Eric. I enjoyed it. This piece reminds me that life goes by fast so it's altogether fitting to "stop and smell the tulips".
Thanks Albert. An unusually blue sky for UK?
At the moment, the south of England is experiencing a bit of an Indian summer, I don't suppose it will last, but you never know.

Well hopefully if we are still here in this crazy world next year, we might be able to enjoy spring in the UK !
Sue and I used to fly or drive over to Holland for several years to have a look at the Tulips, and the amazing festivals that are put on in certain villages where the people make a complete amazing mosaic pictures and three dimensional things from tulips of faces/cars/houses or "anything" on their lawns/walls or on "anything"
We to have a Magnolia tree in our garden in the UK that is terrific when in bloom but unfortunately only lasts a short while, especially if it's windy
I enjoyed watching the video Eric with those colours as I am watching it in Spain where the weather is still very hot, and not too much on the floral side looking brilliant.
The bougainvillea seems to be the stable plant that is in most gardens and roses that grow all the year round as long as they get a drink now and then!
Filming wise I have only been making videos for local bands unfortunately, so although I do have every intention of driving into the campo on one of my "lost drives" to get some inspiration, the 40c plus temperatures that we have been having seemed to "quell" things down !
Heading back to the UK in a few days time to see how things are, although my weather app has shown "frosts" in our village.
Well it's a bit of a change back in the UK, one minute we are swimming in a 26c degree sea and enjoying high 30c temperatures and after 2hrs 30mins later on a plane it's 17c or less !!!
We won't be back until the new years day charity sea swim unfortunately.
At this moment I am editing up footage for a film that I am making that was for a local charity event in our area in Spain with a "Mods n Rockers" themed party that I hope to finish soon, as I have other work commitments to sort out first.
This is just one of the many numbers that the local band played to get the OAPS on their feet and put a bit of wear on their new knee and hip joints!
Some of the people dressed up in what they were wearing back in the day (including my wife) and most were over70 and wearing well! also the band put on a good show until well into the night.

Thanks Gordon. Were they wearing the exact same clothes? Probably not as they probably wouldn't have been able to get into them? Even though your dancers are "wearing well" it's amazing how much slimmer most of us oldies were in our younger days.
We missed seeing you dancing in the crowd but then as camera operator you had an excuse.

You probably spotted me in the wide shots on the GoPro ?
Well this picture is a blow up of yours truly that I took off the wide angle GoPro that I run for the whole time when filming such things, and the only fake thing on me was the arm tattoos for effect on the day.
That is my own long undyed hair that hasn't gone white like my beard over the last 77 years, but I am not going to try and grow it as long as my wife's who hasn't been to a hairdressers since she was 15. However we do "trim" each others hair now and then.

You had a beard 77 years ago??

I may have done I can't remember though !
I am in the middle (amongst other things) of editing a longish video for someone in Spain and this is another "snippet" from it. Filmed with a Sony AX53 a GoPro and a Zoom audio recorder.

I suspect Alfred is querying whether you were born with your beard as how old are you now. 77?

Thanks Gordon. Looks like recycled teenagers having a good night out as I noticed one lady dancing clutching her phone!

The lady in question was actually the organizer of the whole event, she is one of those people that goes out of her way to help anyone who is genuinely having problems. She is also a trained physiotherapist who is a great help to us OAPs. This particular event had a quiz between the numbers being played and all the questions were on her phone.

I fully understood the question and said what I said jokingly, yes I am that age and still pretty fit so I count myself lucky. My father lived until 101 and was still gardening and mixing up cement when he was 100 !
Another short video of a recent village trip to Butterfly Creek. Not just butterflies, much more. The dinosaurs were impressive!
"Butterfly Afternoon" can be found on Vimeo and YouTube. Take your pick but make sure you are being streamed the 1080 50p version. I find that both platforms sometimes stream me lower versions of videos even though I've a 50 Mbps plus download speed.

Solid Eric .. nice work .. nice music .. good camera work .. I always look forward to your videos ..
Was this a trip organized by your village?

Yes we have "Out'n About" trips on most Wednesday afternoons. Most of my recent videos have been taken on trips. The van only takes 11 plus driver so you need to get your name down quick for popular ones. I don't go on all trips. Some are just to shopping malls. The van also does morning trips to local shopping areas, useful for those who don't drive. The van trips are free.
Very nicely done Eric. Both myself and Jill enjoyed it very much. Will you be going back to see the things that you missed on this trip - I do hope so.
With the Summer to look forward to down under, all we have to look forward to is the long dark days of winter, but we did have the joys of wandering through an arboretum in Kent earlier this month to see the lovely colours, always a highlight of the year - for me at least. This is Winkworth Arboretum. Six minutes long.
Thanks Albert. Some nice autumn colours. Actually Winkworth Aboretum is in Surrey, near Godalming, although it reminded me of what I remember of rolling Sussex countryside.
I note Jill dressed to match the autumn colours.
