Belated thanks, Paul. I don’t know how I managed that!

Happy to help out Alfred ... You've already done the heavy lifting and given us all a place to discuss whatever and also share knowledge on the Serif products we all use and love.  THANKS ALFRED for all you've done!

Re: Other people's videos.

Thanks again. Actually, I think I do know how it might have happened. I probably copied the title and left the video playing while I composed my message, and then returned to the YouTube tab to copy the URL but failed to notice that it had moved on to the first item in the ‘Related videos’ list.

Brilliant.

Re: Other people's videos.

This was one of the 2022 award winners on Vimeo. Give it a minute.  It's a parody for those wishing to replace MoviePlus and Photoshop with something else.

That took a lot of work.  Do I detect an Aussie accent?

I find it scary. We won't be living in a real world soon!

Re: Other people's videos.

This thing starts at $3,499 (US), around £2,800 / AU$ 5,300 elsewhere but is only available in the US. Although Google glasses flopped, and META hasn't caught fire, since this has the Apple imprimatur, I'm sure hundreds will have to have one spurring a new generation of couch potatoes. These potatoes will live in their pretty, pretend scenarios but probably can't make toast.

For some folks (who can afford it) this will be entertaining.  It might also have therapeutic value for folks with disabilities.  I don't see it being a mass market product for some years to come.

I think the real world is still going to be there.

Re: Other people's videos.

I was looking at a friend's young great grandchildren today and thinking that I was once young like them.  Then I thought what will the world be like when they reach my age (I'm 81 in a few days).  Probably in a worse mess than it is now.

Eric take heart.  I am convinced that your great grandchildren will live in a better world.  Perhaps two steps forward and one back but always moving ahead.  I'm sure there will be bumps, some very bad bumps, along the way but the future will solve many of our problems and overall more people will be better off.  Wondrous things are coming in fields like energy and health and agriculture and transportation and communication.   That's my prediction.  But I'm 79 so I'm not planning to be around to see if I'm right 50 years hence.

Re: Other people's videos.

A couple of days ago, the You Tube algorithm came up with this video of Scotney Castle in Kent. Having been there a few times, I thought I would give it a go, and WOW I was not disappointed. The two "boys" who made the video did a really great job, a bit rough round the edges, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have since watched about a dozen of their videos and thought they were really charming - see if you agree.
