I have a working MoviePlus X6 on my work computer and need to have it operation on my home computer. The purchased download link isn't up anymore. I've tried to copy all the files in the directory but can't bypass the 'setup.exe' file. Where can I download it or how can I install it?
Hi Larry. Welcome to Alfred's forum.
I do not have MoviePlus, but if it is like other Serif programs you are permitted by the licence to have a second installation on a portable computer, for your own use only. In order to install it you will need the Product Key. Again, if MoviePlus is like other Serif products, you will find this on the current installation under Help/Registration Wizard.
Larry, the first and important thing to do, if you haven't, is export your codec unlock codes to a small file which can be used to import them onto your home computer. Otherwise you are stuffed as Serif shut down the unlock server years ago. Search this forum for info on exporting the unlock codes.
Your product key can be found, if you don't have it. From memory if you activate the registration screen it shows it there.
You will also need the universal registration number to get rid of the registration nag screen. We can give you that.
I have the X6 download file somewhere which I can upload somewhere for you.
Larry, actually I don't have a download file. My MVPX6 came on a disc of which a copy of the contents plus a patch is already in a 1.7gb zip file I uploaded to Google Drive previously for another user. When you are ready I'll PM you with the link.

I just got an error message when I tried to play a movie clip, see pic of stop.
Did you export and import your unlock codes? If you did then the movie clip you are trying to play needs a codec that you don't have unlocked. As Serif shut down their unlock server you cannot now obtain it. It might even need a codec that MVP never had as it's years old now. What type of file are you trying to play?

Larry - Plus tell us which type of video file you are trying to play.
MVP is not a video file. It's a Movie Plus project file.
