A thread to discuss the modalities of using Bing Chat AI to produce art.
I have found that if I have Bing Chat AI running in the side panel, then when pictures are produced I get a block of four quite small in that side panel.
Clicking on one of the pictures produces a web page in the larger area that is not in the side panel.
However, I have found that downloading the images from there to local storage is a problem.
However, I have found that if I start a second instantiation of the Edge browser then copy the address of the larger panel to that new instantiation, I get a full page display.
I have then at times when trying to download to local storage the images one by one found that the download is blocked, something about Edge downloading multiple images, but I have found that that blocking can be overridden.

I did a "get back a copy" of the enlarged version of the impressionist version of the lady feeding an okapi and found it to be 800 pixels square whereas what I uploaded was 1024 pixels square.
Is it possible to have things so that readers of the other threads can download full size images of what is posted please?
Also, I have found that I cannot copy and paste text that has been posted in a thread. Is that a feature or an option that can be changed please?
William
Are all the pictures that you produce 1024 pixels square? Are you able to produce larger images? Are you able to produce images that are not square?
The images I generate are indeed typically 1024 pixels square. However, I’m currently unable to produce larger images or images that are not square. My capabilities are continually being updated, so this may change in the future. I hope this answers your question! X
I'm getting 1024 x 1024 -- but here is what Bing answered about its image format:
I can produce images in different styles and formats, such as photography, concept art, anime, cartoon, 3D, etc. However, the images that I generate are always in a square format, which is 512 x 512 pixels. If you want to change the aspect ratio of the images, you can use other tools or applications to crop, resize, or transform them. For example, you can use Leonardo AI, which is an online tool that can turn square images into 16/9 and 9/16 formats1. You can also use Fotor, which is a comprehensive guide to using my image.

I think your topic title told us that already, William!

If you’re referring to these forums, it should already be possible to download a full-size image if that is what has been posted.
Also, I have found that I cannot copy and paste text that has been posted in a thread. Is that a feature or an option that can be changed please?
Again, if you’re referring to these forums, that should already be possible. If it isn’t currently working for you, I would need to know the steps that you’re following.

I'm not having any problem with downloading full size images or copy and paste.
Thank you Paul, that is interesting to know because I cannot copy and paste from these forums.

Hmmm .. are you running windows or mac? Can you copy and paste elsewhere?

Wow. I just learned things about the clipboard I never knew. I'm running Windows 10 -- and wow .. clipboard is much more powerful than I knew about.
I"m always learning new things on Alfred's forum!

Windows 10. Yes, I can copy and paste in many places. I can paste here but not copy.

Check your clipboard by doing Windows key + V. It might be full. Clearing it might help.

The Windows clipboard holds data in multiple formats. Nir Sofer’s free utility InsideClipboard displays the contents of the various formats and allows you to save the content of each format into its own file.
I have today tried three separate attempts to produce lino cut prints using Bing Chat AI.
Please produce an original linocut print of a landscape using four and only four colours of ink.
Please produce an original linocut print of a landscape using two and only two colours of ink.
Please produce an original linocut print of a lady playing a lute using two and only two colours of ink.
I am getting images 1024 pixels by 1024 pixels, but the images are not full field to some extent, sometimes a bit, sometimes a lot.
Could some readers try to produce lino cut prints or whatever you choose to describe them as so as to find out what is going on please.

>> but the images are not full field to some extent,
I'm getting 1024 x 1024. I don't know what you mean by "images are not full field"?
I was able to limit the inks to two but I'm not sure how linocuts work. Do they mix colors so that two inks create more than two colors?
Here's my first prompt: create an image in the style of a linocut print of a landscape with a tree in the foreground. Limit the colors to two inks.
Then I ask Bing to add the lady with the lute.
I had never heard the term linocut or forgotten it, but I imagine I've seen some somewhere. This kind of thing amazes me that people can be so skilled to create images in this fashion.
I have been trying to make electronic images using Affinity Designer such that the results look like they are linocuts.
https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index. … x-lino-cut
https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index. … -linocut-3
https://forum.affinity.serif.com/index. … -linocut-4
However, the one I made today could not be done exactly like that as a linocut as I used levels of opacity to get the effect.
So maybe I can find a way to have increasingly thin swirls of white at one hundred percent opacity to produce a similar effect.

There are some truly wonderful linocuts to be found if you know where to look.
It must be very satisfying to have the skill and patience to produce these things.
Some artists focus on “reduction” linocuts, where multiple layers are created by reusing the same block and cutting more away each time: there’s no going back, so there’s no room for mistakes!
Some of them get produced as prints and each copy sells for hundreds of pounds.
Yet some are reproduced at a reduced size by high quality industrial printing processes as fine art cards, which may but need not be used as greetings cards, and these are often available for around £3 each.
So it is possible to enjoy the art by framing such a card in a frame, I use frames delivered by Tesco with the groceries.
The cards can sometimes be bought direct from the publisher, though I think some sell in boxes of a dozen (perhaps all the same, or maybe a mix) intended for purchase by museum shops and so on.
Here are some links. Not everything is necessarily linocuts.

Earlier today I was doing my Welsh course at Duolingo.com and one of the sentences was as follows.
Mae rhif ffôn Megan yn y swyddfa.
In English,
Megan's phone number is in the office.
As I was doing the Welsh course, I wondered what Bing Chat AI would produce as a picture to illustrate this sentence.
Here is a transcript of what happened when I tried, after finishing today's Welsh lessons.
Please produce an original painting to illustrate Mae rhif ffôn Megan yn y swyddfa.
This prompt was too vague to generate appropriate, high quality images. Please try a longer, more descriptive prompt.

I used this prompt with Bing: can you create an image to visualize the following sentence in welsh "Mae rhif ffôn Megan yn y swyddfa"
Got this image.
Thank you.

I tried five times, with a New Topic restart between the tries, using the same wording as in your post so as to try to reproduce what you did, though expecting a different picture as Bing Chat AI tends to do that.
All but the second time I got a "too vague" message.
The second time I got four pictures, all monochrome, but not in any way seeming to illustrate the sentence.

Are you using the latest version of Microsoft Edge to run the Bing?
