It has been quiet around here.  I just watched one of my old videos from about 15 years back.  If you've got 9 minutes, here it is:

Thanks Paul, I never did get across the sea to Ireland.  Well done.  I find with my video group it's our old videos that are most interesting.

Just for something to put up, here's a little video of our dogs that have passed over the rainbow bridge

Thanks Alan.  Calculating their ages as the dates flashed by indicated quite a variation.  What was the oldest of them all?

Another 'historical' video for you taken at one of my favourite RHS gardens at Hyde Hall back in 2015. -------- - oh and a few robins were around too. https://youtu.be/PBBKGLcEz0s

Thanks Albert.  Beautiful Robin shots.

Re: Post your videos here

I haven't been filming much lately as I am trying to sort out a flooding problem with our property in the UK.
This is a video that I decided to make at the last minute at one of our local "haunts" in Spain to show what we get up to. It's a different way of life (and certainly cheaper) however with the water shortage this year it may not be as it has been for a long time unfortunately.

Re: Post your videos here

As you say, a different way of life, thank you for putting it up, it's nice to see a bit of sunshine

Re: Post your videos here

A big part of my life from 1968 until 2012 I was involved in motor racing and was quite successful. I won approximately 300 races along with 2 British championships and held the lap records at most circuits that I raced at, including the UK/Ireland and Spa in Belgium.
Obviously I couldn't film the races that I was in but I did sometimes use a GoPro inside the car in later years.
This is a film that I made back in 2015 after I had hung up my crash helmet and a lot of the guys that I used to race with are in it.

Hello Hello ! is there anybody there ?
Well at this moment instead of being in sunny Spain with a serious water shortage we are at home with too much ! So much so that our garden got flooded when a water drainage pipe that runs through our property got blocked up. I am still in the midst of sorting that out and did a quick walk around the garden with the old handheld camcorder. https://youtu.be/hrqeRuo8-68

Nope, nobody at all! Sorry, Gordon, but you’ll just have to get used to talking to yourself. https://punster.me/images/tongue.gif

Lovely (the video footage, not the flooding)!

Re: Post your videos here

Thanks Gordon, it's obviously spring for you.  I didn't spot any flooding?

I'm here too, Gordon. I always enjoy your movies, even though I don't often comment.

Even before I became self-employed, and certainly now in retirement, I have talked to myself. One definite advantage is that you can never lose an argument. https://punster.me/images/myopera/myg/haha.gifhttps://punster.me/images/myopera/myg/haha.gifhttps://punster.me/images/myopera/myg/haha.gif

Too lazy, I suppose. Besides, I have to live with myself; imagine having to deal with the sulks. https://punster.me/images/tongue.gif

Looks a bit soggy Gordon - I can empathise, to an extent.

Your video reminded me of the video I took down at Grays Riverside Beach back in 2021, at least it wasn't my responsibility to clear the mess up. https://youtu.be/6jCpdjBQ1fU

Yes at least it didn't get into the house this time ! we came back from Spain one year and our kitchen floor had a coating of mud on it!! on that occasion it was caused by a road drain being blocked up further up the road that sent water across the lawn on the other side of the house. I must admit I am getting a little fed up with the constant rain we keep having. Regarding your video, you obviously had to change what you probably intended to film for a day out and sometimes it can make it a bit more interesting.

Re: Post your videos here

It just keeps raining and raining, I just cant imagine it ever being sunny/warm and dry again ? This is just a quick walk out of my gate to the open countryside, I often do it simply to get a clear head and try and forget what is happening in this crazy mixed up world that we find ourselves in.
