Topic: Installing PagePlus X9 on a new laptop

I have and use PagePlus X9 a lot on my PC  I have just received a new laptop as a presy and am wondering how to install pagePlus onto it.  I have the instatlation CD and reg no .

You don't need the Registration number to install (you can use 881887), you need the Product Key. You will see this under Help/Registration Wizard.

Put the CD (actually a DVD) in the drive, and if it doesn't run automatically, open File Explorer, and double click Setup.exe.

You may have to copy the whole DVD to your hard drive if that doesn't work.

Thanks .I dont have a DVD after all I had downloaded it initially. I found the email and downloaded it from the Afinity website so all is well. I`n wondering about Draw plus as I have a DVD for that but no dvd player on the laptop

You could buy an external dvd drive with usb 3 for about £12 off amazon.

When I installed ImpactPlus 5 a few weeks ago, the automatic check for updates on first run successfully found a patch installer on Serif’s servers, but I’m not aware of any full installer downloads that are still available direct from Serif. Even if they are, I wouldn’t expect any such installers to be available from the Affinity site.

Yes that puzzles me.  Serif (or whatever they are now) aren't helpful towards their old Plus customers.

Affinity is a brand created by Serif, and Serif is owned by Canva now, but the Serif name lives on (or so it seems, at least for the time being).

My original receipt email had a link where I was able to download PagePlus X9

Thanks, Bridie, that’s very interesting! The FAQ post about how to locate your legacy order product key only mentions that sales of PagePlus X9, PhotoPlus X8 and DrawPlus X8 after 14th May 2018 resulted in the product key being added to an Affinity store account. There is no indication that there would also be a download link.

Hi. I just discovered this forum. Great to found people still working with Pageplus! The last update i got from serif trough the automatic update was 19.0.2.22, years ago. it was a little patch. Is this ok, or im missing some later update?

19.0.2.22 was the final update, so you are not missing anything.

I used PCMover Pro and just moved it over and it installed great.

That’s an interesting option, albeit clearly quite expensive unless you have multiple applications that you want to move across.
