Nice work Gordon .. I assume you did all the shooting, editing and sound.  One-man-band?  Amazing what can be done today.

Yes and all the gear you need these days is to hand, and cheap in comparison to years ago with film cameras/tape recorders/leads everywhere/developing costs/editing, it just took ages to make even a half decent film as you well know. Now it is possible to make a good video with a phone (but they do have their limitations at the moment) and of course you can see the results instantly, plus you can waste as much footage as you like !!
There is another one next weekend but unfortunately Sue & I won't be there.

Re: Post your videos here

I used to race Ford Anglia's for years, and as there was a "Classic Ford" show near me I went along and made this video for a local club that was showing them. The weather also showed a marked improvement from the last few months !

Re: Post your videos here

Nice video Gordon. My sister had a Ford Anglia back in the 1970s just after she passed her driving test, although she never actually raced it, she did manage to get up a fair amount of speed on the public highway. I contented myself by driving another Ford, a Ford Classic, if you remember them, it looked a bit like the big brother of the Anglia what with the back window looking just like the Anglia in its design. Happy days...

Yes of course I remember the "Consul Classic" we used to fit both of the engines (1340cc & 1500cc) from them into Anglia's.  The raked back window of the Anglia and the Classic was designed so that the rear seat passengers could sit comfortably with their heads leaning back.

Re: Post your videos here

Last Wednesday we went to West Sussex to visit Parham. It was our first time there and we had some first class weather.

We were not allowed to use video inside the house, but Jill took some cracking pictures which I had her kind permission to use.

Just under nine minutes https://youtu.be/LS4Lbn6BNA4 please enjoy.

Re: Post your videos here

Thanks Albert.  Jill looked a bit weary towards the end.  Perhaps you over worked her this time smile

Re: Post your videos here

Nicely put together Albert, we have never been there although it's not too far from us when we are in the UK. Lets face it the weather is everything when visiting such places and you were lucky on one of these "rare days"
We went to Hever Castle on Sunday that is just up the road to us and saw it in all it's glory in perfect weather as well. I did take a camera with me but I don't know if I will find time to edit anything as I have another long standing "thing" on at the moment that I must attend to ! We will also be using our other premises soon with pretty well guaranteed weather for a while.

I think you are probably right Eric, it did not help that I made her go round that maze at double the speed, there should be a law about husbands like me - shocking!!

Thanks Gordon, nothing lucky concerning the weather, we keep a pretty close eye on the forecasts these days and try not to venture out if it looks like it's going to be too much overcast.

I have only been to Hever Castle once back in 2012, Jill has been a number of times to attend quilting competitions there with her sister.

A nice peaceful and colourfull video well done Albert, you were lucky with the weather.
I took my wife out last Friday to Rye, and of course it just lends itself to photography. I don't know when I will get round to editing it as we are off to warmer climates for a while.
I had arranged to stop off at a pub on the way home and had pre informed the lead singer (who is a mate) to sing "Happy Birthday" to Sue when we walked in as it was her birthday, and he did. However, he then said "have you got a camera with you and can you video one of the numbers" ? I said that I have and will but I haven't got my audio recording gear or a wide angle lens with me and it was a small bar. I know that the audio is important on filming bands but I  just turned the AGC off and set the sound level like I would on my audio equipment and gave it a go. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5XQu63sJvX4

Living in the sticks in the UK does have it's advantages, this year we have a woodpecker family nesting in a nearby tree. Here are a couple of them that I filmed today.

Re: Post your videos here

He/she was certainly getting stuck into those nuts Gordon.
Whilst on the subject of wildlife, at the beginning of May, we took ourselves down to the river and noticed some Egyptian Geese with five of their Goslings in tow. We went back a few days later and sadly only a couple were still with their parents...  https://youtu.be/cgCpF1R4zgI

Poor birds.  The nuts are bigger than the mesh holes so they couldn't get them out in one piece.  But then they are woodpeckers!

If the mesh holes were that big, the nuts would fall out and/or the local squirrels would take them all.

The Bluetits simply go down in the top and pick them out !

I often get asked about problems with cameras especially with the "No card in the camera" message, so I made a video to show what I do before attempting any major surgery!!
