Topic: PagePlus X9 TOC

Thanks for letting me join! I've forgotten (having once known) how to create a Table of Contents in a book-length document. I've put all my (many) chapter titles in Heading 1 style, go into Insert/Table of Contents, click on Heading 1--and up pops a text frame with "Contents" and anything that is in Heading 1 style on that page--but nothing from the other pages. (Yes, I regenerate.) Can someone put me out of my misery pls?!

Re: PagePlus X9 TOC

Don't forget to View/Tabs/ TOC tab  to find out which titles you are showing in the TOC.

Re: PagePlus X9 TOC

Thanks John. So I have the TOC tab showing, with "Heading 1" X'd. I have pages with chapter titles in Heading 1 style. When I create new, or regenerate, a TOC in the TOC tab, it ONLY shows the Heading 1 title (with page number) for the page where the TOC is being created. And ignores all the other Heading 1 titles on other pages.
I'm baffled!

Re: PagePlus X9 TOC

Sometimes it's a good idea to check on all your text styles, it's possible to have more than one style with the same name.
There are occasions when somehow where you place the TOC text box matters. It is worth trying to put the text box on a different page near the front of the book.
