Albert does not need to know the language in which Sonja works.

Extending the simulation, Sonja can be sending out localizable emails to
various people in various countries and upon receipt each email is
localized into the language being used by the person at that location.

So this suggestion is based on my opinion that that would be good to be
able to do. I do not know if it can already be done.

What particularly grabbed my attention was the last sentence:

I do not know if it can already be done.

If I were considering doing something like this, I would give very high priority to finding out whether it can already be done! Quite apart from not wishing to waste time and effort on repeating someone else’s work, I might be able to build on what they’ve put together.

Curiously, those links don’t work for me. If I go to http://www.ouiker.com I get redirected to http://www.ouiker.com/fra, but if I try to go directly to the latter URL then I get a ’Not Found’ error.

The way that I got to the page with the translations into English was to go to the first page of the website from the link that is in the news article, then click on the map of Europe, then click on the image of the United Kingdom Flag that is on the page that is then displayed.

No, that isn’t the explanation. If you were trying to use the HTTPS protocol to access a website that doesn’t have an SSL certificate and an SSL/TLS layer, the browser will display a warning about the connection being ‘untrusted’ or ‘not secure’.

It looks as though we have no choice but to go in via the ‘front door’ and follow the links from there.

There are two links to the OuiKer website in the article.

The first one does not work here. It gives a Not Found page.

The second one does work here.

At the top of the page (I expect that that text line that shows the web address have a name - do you know what it is please?) it is listed as http://www.ouiker.com/fra but a copy and paste does not work here.

But hovering over the link in the article that is not what is shown, the fra at the end is not there.

seems to work, but gets changed on the way.

I note the mention of omnibox.

That reminds me of the word omnibus.

It is a Latin word meaning "for all".

I find it interesting that in relation to some transport vehicles it has become shortened to bus then that shortened version pluralized to buses.

Although my suggested new feature has not made progress, I am wondering about this alternative possibility.

In the Description field of an Open Font Format / Opentype font one could include, between a begin keyword and an end keyword, the text of a file as specified in the following document.

Also, include a provision that the substituted text can also include the postscript name of one or more glyphs of the font provided that that postscript name is between curly brackets.

For example.

{flower}

Then the application program that is using the font to gather information to produce the display can have access to the information, gathering it from the font.
