Topic: Batch process problem in PPX8

I am trying to apply a batch process to a series of files. These are b&w files scanned with an Epson V850 and I am getting a pop-up with the message "The parameter is incorrect". (I am trying to resize them but the problem occurs whatever adjustment I want to make).
After doing some tests, I have found that it is clearly not specifically a fault with the Batch facility itself. I get the same message if I click 'File' on the main photo page when I have that image loaded, so it is clearly something more generally specific to PPX8. If I open the file in PPX8 and simply save it (using 'Save As' in the separate toolbar) to another folder without any changes whatsoever, the problem does not occur when that copy is opened. I have compared Exif info in Explorer (Details) and there is no variation between the two copies.
I have tried to attach a copy of the file to this post, but it is apparently too large (4319x2833, 1.75MB), and any adjustments made seem to remove the block, so a smaller version won't contain the faulty parameter for analysis.

I’m surprised that 1.75 MB is too large, but you could use a file-sharing service such as WeTransfer and then post the download link here. Alternatively, please feel free to send it directly to me as an email attachment and I’ll share it here myself.

By the way, you’re obviously using PhotoPlus but you’ve used the abbreviation PP which is widely understood to mean PagePlus. The traditional abbreviation for PhotoPlus X8 is PhPX8.

Thanks. I will send an email with the file so that you can see if you can establish what is causing the block.
In practice I have found a reasonably simple workaround, which releases the block, although initially it does mean processing each file separately. Open the file in PhPX8, save and close without doing any other edits. Batch processing can then be applied to all the files that have been treated this way. (In terms of resizing a batch into an alternative folder, this is still quicker than using the resize facility in Export where each file would have to be resized individually.
