Topic: Deletion of file in Windows 11

Hello All

Not sure if this right place to ask, but thought you experts could maybe help me.

If you see my recent post re AlbumPlus you will see I have stubborn file I can't delete

Does anybody have any ideas on how to delete a file from windows 11 that refuse to be deleted ?

many thanks

Stephen

Re: Deletion of file in Windows 11

I have occasionally found files that simply won't delete - they must have corrupted in some way. Annoying, but very infrequent, so I just live with it. Not much help ... sorry!

Re: Deletion of file in Windows 11

There may be a permissions issue which is preventing deletion of the file. Performing an Internet search for force delete files on windows 11 returned many results, including these two:

Thank You Alfred for taking the time to do this.  You have found different results to what I did.

It might be weekend before I have time to try your ideas out.

Hello All

Option 2 on https://windowsreport.com/files-wont-delete-windows-11/ Worked a treat.

Interestingly I entered force delete files on windows 11 into Google.co.uk running on Chrome and neither of Alfred's results showed up.

That’s great news, Stephen! Thanks for the update.

That is indeed interesting. My preferred search engine is DuckDuckGo; I don’t use Chrome.
