An easy mistake!

In the middle of one recent night, I heard my neighbours' cat scratching at my door. She is a very large long-haired ginger softy who spends much of her time in my house. So I leapt out of bed and opened the door. But what started to enter was not the cat, but a possum. The door closed quicker than it was opened!

Would I be heavily criticised if I pleaded for a Cats only thread?

I don't like dogs, they, and pictures of them disturb me. I don't want to work through pictures of dogs to get my beloved feline species. I hope it doesn't mean I'm taken as intolerant, and after all,  there is plenty of room for a dog thread.  For that matter, lots of animals deserve a thread, and having one for all only dilutes the pleasure, for me, at least.

Now, about reigning - a thread on this topic, could be contentious, for lots of obvious reasons - we don't want to politicise our royalty. If the topic generally was not political, and I hope this was true, it could be contained in the jokes thread.

I'm willing to start a cats' thread, but maybe someone else could pick up the baton.
