Topic: Web plus x8 video playlist issue

I noticed that my Video playlist feature in Web plus x8 is no longer working.
The list dialog shows "error 404 not found" see attachments.

Is there a reason? And is there an easy alternative available to embed youtube videos and video play list in my web page?

There’s always a reason for error messages! A ‘404 Not Found’ error means that the requested resource cannot be found at the specified location, suggesting that someone (you or someone at your hosting company) has renamed, moved or deleted the files in question.

My apologies! I think I misunderstood the issue.

I originally thought that the listed videos were uploaded to the hosting space and were no longer available at their original locations. I’ve now realized that the IDs on the list are YouTube IDs; for example, the first ID ‘Ben5Hayomd0’ refers to the YouTube video at https://youtu.be/Ben5Hayomd0 (which, at the time of writing, is available to view). This suggests that the links created by WebPlus are malformed in some way.

I've just entered the full link provided by Alfred into a custom playlist 5 times. Each one plays in preview but displays in webplus as in your image.

Check that your videos are entered in the same format especially the https: at the begining of the link. If it says just http:, change it and preview to determine if that was the error.

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure.

I think the last update to WPX8 was released long enough ago that HTTP YouTube links still worked. To fix the problem now (so that the published site uses secure HTTPS links instead) it will probably be necessary to convert each link to an HTML Code Fragment to yield an editable object that allows the insertion of the missing ‘s’.
