Topic: Bits from TV that are remembered

I remember one where Terry Scott and June Whitfield, playing a married couple, are in a solicitor's office, and June says, about a court hearing,  something like

"It's a good job he can't represent himself"

and the solicitor says

"Oh but he can"

And Terry's face lights up.

In a later scene he is in court, dressed for the part in a gown and possibly a wig, and after a while the judge, discovering he is not a solicitor, asks where he got them and Terry replies "From a theatrical costumier"

I seem to remember he won the case as June had been in his car and accused of running into a council dust cart.

The driver of the dust cart said when questioned something like "She was parked right behind me" and Terry calls out "Parked".

I don't know why Terry was in court representing himself, possibly because he was the registered keeper of the car, but that is just me speculating on that.

Most programmes remain available for a year. A decade ago it was 30 days, increased from the original 7 days.

I think it was on Sky News.

A lady journalist was giving a press conference after announcing that she was to take part in one of those celebrity reality shows, in a house or in the jungle, I forget which.

So a question was asked about her press release has that she is 48, but is she in fact 52?

She replied "Everyone is allowed to have a stage age."

I found that hilarious.

One of my favorite programs was Tomorrows World which showcased new inventions. I remember the two guys that accidently came up with a compound that painted inside a car tyre would instantly seal a puncture. I think they even drilled a hole in a tyre and it only lost about 1-2psi.

I found that the BBC has posted all the episodes which I am now going to wade through. The first on the list is "1966 Children imagine life in the year 2000.
