Topic: Embed an Animated gif in X7

I've got a page with an animated gif. Just noticed that after I deleted the gif on my computer it's disappeared from the web page. Is there a way to embed it like normal images are?
If I look at the source it looks like it is embedded - confused now!

Thanks.

I've found it! For anyone that wishes to know:

Highlight Image
Go to Export Options in the toolbar that appears
Check the box - Embed file in site

It seems strange to me that an animated gif doesn't seem to have that as the default setting.

Although they’re PNG rather than JPG, the static images on that page are 25 KB or less. The animated GIF is a whopping 2.2 MB, which is likely to be considerably more than your ‘Embed if smaller than’ setting (even if you’ve increased it significantly from the installation default).

I've not seen that setting. I shall look into it !

Re: Embed an Animated gif in X7

Choose ‘Options…’ from the Tools menu and then click on ‘Graphics’ in the Options dialog that pops up. The ‘General’ pane in that section has three options, the first of which is set to embed pictures by default if smaller than 256 KB.

Sorted, thanks Alfred. Is there a way to check if any images are not being embedded that I may have missed the size of?

Again via the Tools menu, go to ‘Site Manager > Resource Manager…’ and change individual settings in the Placement column. If you put ticks in the checkboxes next to the entries in the Name column, you can use the control at the bottom of the Placement column to change the linked/embedded status of all the selected items in one fell swoop.
