Hello All,
We have something to look forward to on 30 October! I want to share a link to a video on YouTube about Affinity Advisor James Martin sharing some insights and teachings. Enjoy!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yqly7818isU
Let's wait and see what is coming.
Kind Regards
Chris
I know James casually from some things we have worked on. He is a good dude. People I feel in my heart will be surprised in a good way on Oct 30. From a personal standpoint if v2 was it, at our agency we could get it done. So this will be gravy to me. The one thing I have learned from this experience especially since the forum went down is in almost all cases people have an agenda. They think they do not or whatever bit they do.
Maybe a platform like this sets you up for that. I do not know but I have seen it in almost any place I have looked for information. Also the buddy system is alive and well but that has been going on forever plus one. All enjoy the ride and looking forward to find out what is up.
Thank you Maarten for your reply and information. I just added mine.
Hello LoveDesign,
Thank you for your reply and viewpoint. However, I do not fully understand the information you wrote. I am not a native English speaker, so probably that is the reason why I do not understand.
Chris
I just followed a tutorial about Publisher coming from Affinity Revolution.
In the comments section, somebody asked if she knew what was coming. She replied that she know but is not allowed to say anything. But she assured it is excellent news.
It appears that all the initial panic about a subscription is unwarranted.
Just let's wait, only 13 days to go.

That assurance doesn’t fit my understanding of not saying anything! However, it’s good to hear.
Hello Alfred,
The Affinity Revolution reply is somewhat in the middle. What led me to believe there is no subscription coming is that Ally told us that it is good news and not to worry. If it were a subscription, she would not say that because she knows how users feel.
Anyway, it is only 12 days from now, and I expect a kind of teaser coming from Serif.
What is your favorite feature for Affinity? Mine is exporting more smoother SVG (not a circle with 16 nodes if 4 is enough for example).
Kind regards,
Chris

I’ve always regarded the Shape Tools in the Affinity apps as being a better version of the old QuickShapes, but there are many ‘Plus’ features yet to be implemented (e.g. Blend, Connection, and Dimension Tools). There are also buggy features such as the ‘Expand Curve’ command that have long been in desperate need of fixing.
Hello Alfred,
Indeed, there are many areas of improvement, and hopefully, the new release of Creative Freedom will bring us more interesting features and better stability.
Well, we’ll find out a week from now!

Alfred, as an veteran i the Affinity Community, have you any hope on an bright future for the Affinity Suite?
We all have some sort of love & hate relationship with Serif Labs, and, me (and a lot of others) are very disappointed that Serif hasn’t delivered the features on respective app that we strongly has demanded.
What to expect in about six hour?
Wait and see with the rest of us (including Alfred).

I can confirm that I’m every bit as much in the dark as the rest of us.
