Topic: Internet Browsers
I have often wondered why certain browsers are better than others ? Some like Microsoft Edge are rubbish on my laptop and are often out of sync on YouTube videos.

There are several rendering engines out there, and each one has its idiosyncrasies. This is why any serious web developer needs to test their sites in a range of browsers, allowing them to identify any problems that may occur in, say, a WebKit browser but not in a Chromium browser.
The whole thing is made more complicated by the effects of browser plugins and extensions which can affect the way the browser displays external content such as YouTube videos. If you spot differences between a page viewed in MS Edge on a desktop PC and the same page viewed in MS Edge on your laptop, check that the same addons are installed and enabled in both.
...often out of sync on YouTube videos.
If that happened to me, I'd be more inclined to attribute the problem my Internet connection speed / bandwidth rather than to my browser.
Having said that, the first thing I'd do would be do some housekeeping in my browser, by clearing the cache and deleting all cookies associated with the problem site, and then restart my browser.
As for some browsers being better than others. I started using Firefox when v1 was released and have used it ever since. In my far from humble opinion, Firefox + uBlock Origin (addon to block ads) is the only sane way to browse the Internet.

I was using Edge and found that when I loaded some of my videos up on my YouTube Site they were sometimes out of sync ! (not a lot) but I often record bands with close ups of the singers. I have been making sound movies since the mid 60s and never had any problems, and lets face it with the equipment we use now it is easier than it's ever been unless you are a complete duffer ! I even took a couple of videos off my site and rechecked them and found them perfect. I then installed Opera browser that immediately cured the problem. Sometimes they are ok on Edge but are not consistent. I live in Spain and the UK and it still has the same problem on Edge in both countries so it's not just my UK internet copper wire setup to my house vs the Fibre Optic that I have in Spain. I will also say that I never had any noticeable problems with Edge for years and it seemed to appear halfway through last year. I tried all the tricks that people (including Microsoft) advised me to try that made no difference.
