Topic: Page Plus X8 Crashing for no reason

Hi Page Plus Users
Has anyone ever encountered this issue?

I use the software for about 15 minutes and then it crashes and I lose unsaved information.  It's happening every time in the last 2 days and has never happened before that.

Any ideas on what might cause this?  Because Serif doesn't exist now, there's nowhere to send the error reports etc.

I'm at a place of having to abandon the software if I can't rectify this.

I guess if PagePlus works OK for 15 minutes, there cannot be much wrong. Does the crash occur when an autosave is attempted? The default autosave is set for 15 minutes. If that is the case then autosave can be altered or turned off from Tools/Options/Options/General. If you turn it off, you must remember to do a manual save frequently to avoid losing changes.

If you leave autosave on, it will save whether necessary or not, and it might kick in at an inconvenient moment. If you rely on manual saves you can choose to save after significant changes, which might be after five minutes or it might only be after an hour.
