Can you post one of your problem files to a cloud service such as Google Drive so we can download and have a play.

As for conversion being long winded that's going to be unavoidable given MVP's age.  It obviously doesn't have the required codec.

Hi ericlnz, I have been comparing the video arter running it through Handbrake and I would now agree with you. After trying big blowup's on the TV the difference is"very marginal," and certainly not noticeable on the laptop. When I said that it was "long winded" I wasn't blaming Movieplus! I just meant that having to use Handbrake was another time consumer in the process. Movieplus will accept the 1080p direct from my DJI drone and 2.7k from my GoPro with no problems, so I was disappointed when I tried the footage from the Osmo Pocket 4 as both the drone and the Pocket 4 were new, and uses the same gimbal and other parts !   I don't use any "clouds" and just use external hard drives. Obviously it's no use loading a shot up on my "unlisted" YouTube site as it will be rendered and if downloaded it would work on Movieplus.

Re: Post your videos here

I heard a tractor in the field outside of our house this morning so I got up and grabbed the drone, however they had already moved onto the next field. The other day they harvested all those fields of maze and I assume that they are getting it ready to sow ? I am slowly getting used to using it as it seems peculiar to be watching it on a screen while I am flying it. Even if I have eyesight of the drone in the air it soon disappears as it is so small, also I am always worrying about it getting lost as I often fly it 2 or 3 miles away !! Sue and I will be off to Spain for a while in a couple of weeks so I hope to film something of interest to put on for you. https://youtu.be/BXVmiWWtbtE

I flew my drone from the field beside our house following a footpath that we often use up to a small churchyard where both of my parents are buried. https://youtu.be/NmvZ1Ns79BU

I did actually film one of our walks some while back to the graveyard where my parents are buried. The little church is locked unless there is a service, however being a local for years I borrowed the key !   https://youtu.be/MgdyQEMh0kk?si=FWlzhxIXIFMWGTN4

Thanks Gordon.  I prefer the ground walk video to the drone fly by.  I've a recollection you may have shown this previously and I commented that Kent is where my parents are buried.

Re: Post your videos here

I've just tidied up the audio on a three year old video "A Glimpse Of Nostalgia".  I cannot recall whether I've posted it previously.  Here's the YouTube link https://youtu.be/Mug1ROMeU4E.

With YouTube I have to upload as a new video but with Vimeo I can simply replace.  Vimeo is here https://vimeo.com/845670430?fl=pl&fe=cm

Both are identical and should deliver my 1080 50p as 1080 but I find sometimes YouTube has to be nudged (using the settings icon) to deliver full quality.  But watching 1080 I cannot really see any quality difference nowadays between the two sites.

I can't recall seeing that before, however I can't even remember what I had for dinner an hour ago !. Yes life was certainly simpler back then and as you say the people were probably a lot happier.
I liked that video, well fllmed and informative and I am not surprised why many UK citizens (including parts of my family) moved over there. This is one country that I have never been to, although I do have an open invitation to go and visit my cousin's on my father's side. In fact my father went over there several years ago when he was 95 !!! Sue and I are flying off tomorrow for a while to our Spanish residency and hopefully relaxing in the sun.

I am sure it is a codec problem but what I don't want to do is sod up Movieplus on my Laptop ! I can see that you can use third party codecs but I have never tried to import them. If you could help me I would be grateful.

It wasn't a joke!  We, in the Southern Hemisphere, are moving into warmer weather whilst the Northern Hemisphere approaches winter.  Knowing how bad English winters can be (I remember 1962/63) if I had property in Spain I'd be escaping.  I'm assuming Spain's winters are mild.

Handbrake and Shutter Encoder shouldn't affect your MoviePlus.  I have both installed.  I'm not so sure about K Lite.  As a suggestion do a Windows System Restore Point,  install K Lite and tell us how you get on.  If you have problems use your System Restore Point to get back to how you were.

Thanks mate, I did actually find it for myself (in the end) and I apologize for not taking it down before you took your time looking !!!! However it is on here now incase it happens again.   As a matter of interest I often wonder how many people are still using X6 ?. Although it still works fine (with a few workaround's) it is well out of date for up to date video gear and I am too old to start learning a more sophisticated editing suite that is as good and easy to work on as MoviePlus ! It also does show how far ahead it was when it came out though, and if it would accept 4k directly and with a bit more memory it would still be a good seller !

Re: Post your videos here

Sue and I took a walk to a local huge restaurant down on the playa last night, although it was empty of people (about a dozen) there was a Spanish singer who was trying to entertain the few.  I didn't have any of my normal recording gear with me but I did have my Osmo Pocket camera in my "pocket" so I gave it a try. It's straight out of camera without any editing. Unfortunately I didn't bring the telephoto lens part with me and the optical zoom will only go to +2,  and the last to +4 is digitized. At this moment I have a fair amount of work for the local bands with promo videos. My Zoom audio recorder has packed up unfortunately so I shall have to find something down here to carry on with. https://youtu.be/VFwdk9BkMl4

Eric I take it that one of the boats for sale wasn't one of yours ? It's amazing just how much money people spend on their yachts and yet they are just parked up for ages !  We have the same in the next town "Garrucha" just down the road to us in Spain that was basically a fishing port when we first came in the early 70s, but now is overflowing with these millionaire's toys. I used to have a small boat that Sue and I used for water skiing many moons ago that we enjoyed, however old age started to creep in and I sold it. Yes YouTube seems to always give you 360 automatically these days and I wonder if people have any idea ? The trouble is that the internet that we have in Spain at our place is slow and if I increase most videos to HD they are very "jumpy" but I suppose that a good majority of people view on their phones ? and if they are on a decent laptop or TV they assume it's been made with a cheapo phone or camera.
