I don't know how many people would be interested in this but I have been publishing in a small way for many years and I have used two online sites to show my books on in this format which simulates the reading process, including an interpretation of turning pages.
These sites are ISSUU and Calameo.
I use this as a way of showing interested people a preview of my publications.
If you would like to see these you may read them in full, they are easiest to access on line from my website at www.millrind.co.uk, click on the Publishing tab and you will go to my publications on either of these sites.
Let me know what you think of them.

Hi William
I think you would be better off using Affinity Publisher or PagePlus for this, it's much more user friendly and either would output to PDF in any size you wanted. If you don't have either or need any particular help or advice I can always be contacted at millrind (at) btinternet.com

I recently revisited reposted to an old topic, the last entry was in 2019.

Patrick Connor replied, I think his answer demonstrated that loyalty to past customers was not a prime concern of the new Affinity setup.

Hi Pat,
I have the same trouble with one of my website hosts, the main trouble is that I can't contact them in any meaningful way. I think the main reason for your hassle is that Register.com is based in the US just like my Hostinger account. I can't contact them directly.
The best advice I can offer is to change your website host.
The other Host I use is great, Fasthosts. Details of the FTP requirements are available on their site once you register with them. They cost me about £6 a month and I can easily use FileZilla to upload my webplus website and it never gives me any hassle. Furthermore I can always phone them if I have any trouble.
The only problem I have with them is the email addresses they provide as part of the deal. The tend to use Livemail Servers for this and they are a problem. You can always use gmail for your emails as I do.
Go to my website and see what is possible with them.

I found the answer by going to the Wacom page, I had to untick the box that enables something called Windows ink and it did the trick. Sometimes I love the internet.

I have had no problem in the past with running PagePlus in Windows 10 but after major breakdown of the OS and having to reinstall the OS Ifind that my Wacom stylus cannot now be relied upon to resize a text box. When I try to use it for that all it does is to move the whole pasteboard around.
Have you Alfred come across this sort of behaviour before? Perhaps you could suggest any way of putting this right please.

After struggling for some time with Affinity Publisher, the newest Serif Application, I've come to the conclusion that it is the least useful for publishing a paper book of some length.
PagePlus, neglected for a few years now is still the most useful and user friendly of all publishing programs even if it occasionally throws you out with a popup that offers to notify Serif of a difficulty that it has no intention of receiving.

There is no doubt that Publisher is designed purely to appeal to attract Apple users who produce magazines, Sales brochures and publicity material of just a few pages.
Even after some years it has still failed to produce a solution for footnotes/endnotes and cannot match the convenience of PagePlus's Writeplus.

The hardest change to absorb is the abandonment and standoffish attitude that is shown in the Serif forums nowadays towards its formerly loyal users of PagePlus.

A special thank you to Alfred for keeping this haven for the dispossessed going.

You need to open a text box at one of the start pages of the publication and Insert/Table of contents. Go to View/Tabs/TOC tab to open the dialog box where you can choose the Font style you want to use to show the page for. Don't forget to tick the box on the right to include the page number. I usually choose the dotted tab leader to separate font from page number.

Having openend PagePlus in Windows 10 I find that although it has shown as a Tab in View/tabs I can't start the schemes tab, when I click on it it doesn't showup anywhere at all.
Not that I have any special use for it at the moment but I wondered if anyone had found the same problem.
