Welcome, Lindy! Who advised you not to use the original CA Pro, and why? It obviously doesn’t have any of the features that were added in version 2, but it’s still a very capable program.

I can provide you with a download link for the CA2 installer if you don’t have a copy of it, but that would only be of use to you if you still have your product key. If you don’t have access to a product key, you won’t be able to install the product.

Affinity Designer can be used for card making, but it doesn’t have punches, stencils, or ‘intelligent’ photo frames. It also can’t read Digikit files, so you would need to export (to JPEG or PNG) any kit elements that you want to use.

All the images that have the name of the song included in the subtitle of the image have at least one thing in common: they have the name of the song included in the subtitle! https://punster.me/images/biggrin.gif

It’s very noticeable that the Chilean Army shield is visible front and centre most of the time, only disappearing when the static images give way to short stretches of moving images.

That sounds as though it should fit the bill! Have you identified any candidates that are within your budget?

You’re very welcome!

Did Bing AI tell you what you wanted to know, William, or are you still looking for further information on this topic?

Press the Insert (or Ins) key on your keyboard to toggle overtype mode.

These coin designs will eventually replace the current shield

Although that shield was introduced fifteen years ago, I wasn’t actually aware of its existence until very recently!

A crown was five shillings, so I wouldn’t count “a half crown” or “half a crown” as slang.

Sad news indeed, William. Thank you for letting us know. (Jack did post a picture of his cat here at one point, but the cat shown in his forum avatar wasn’t actually his cat.)

Dear Alfred,

That was it! I knew it had to be something simple!

Thank you 50 times!

Geoff (‘GB’) is the one who pointed you in the direction of Trimmed Mode, so he’s the one who deserves the thanks! That aside, I’m glad you got the answer you needed.

Hello,
I'm having this problem as well, but I can't select "Clean Design" to switch it on or off. The box is grayed out on my screen.

I’m pretty sure that Geoff has correctly identified the cause of your problem:

I'd really like to find a solution that doesn't entail reinstalling the software (as I don't know where I've put the activation codes).

The product key should be available via the ‘About PagePlus…’ splash screen in a working copy of the program:

If it isn’t displayed there, you can extract it from the Windows registry:

The product key should show up after the product is registered. Go to ‘Help > Registration Wizard…’ and enter the universal registration key 881887, and then go to ‘Help > About PagePlus…’ and look for the product key at the bottom of the splash screen.

there is still a product key in the PC somewhere

Are you sure about that? It depends on the severity of the the crash, of course, but if you can retrieve the product key you should be good to go once you have a copy of the installer.

Welcome to my merry little band, Norman, and apologies for the belated reply to your post! Please check your email for a link to my copies of the CA ‘Free Stuff’ digikits (the six you’ve listed, plus about fifty others).

I’m afraid I don’t have PagePlus in front of me right now, so I can’t show you a screenshot, but what you need is ‘Button Text’. When you choose the Artistic Text Tool you should see several preset text paths on the Context toolbar, one of which allows for three lines of text (an upper semicircle, a lower semicircle, and a straight line across the middle). If you select only two lines of text and then press the relevant toolbar button, you’ll get the two semicircles with the text the right way up in both cases.

Michael Caine played the role of Dr Frank Bryant in ‘Educating Rita’. As an inside joke, he was given the following line:

‘Did you know that Macbeth was a maggoty apple? Not many people know that!’
