If you try to copy Serif documents from your old computer to the new one you end up leaving all your source documents behind - like images, fonts, etc.

Use ‘Save As Package’ on your old computer to include all (unprotected) fonts, images, and other resources.

I wish I had, Cliff! I’m afraid you’ll have to wait and see what more experienced users of PagePlus can come up with.

Not Classical, but definitely "classic". One of the very best Dixieland style jazzbands I've come across. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Un7TdFdPJdM

Most enjoyable. Thanks for the link, Geoff.

By the way, the piece halfway through that is not given a title in English, is called "Moon sand", or so a combination of Abbyy FineReader and Google Translate suggests. "Moon dust" might be more accurate.

Google Translate tells me that 月の砂漠 means ‘Moon Desert’ (or ‘Desert of the Moon’).

月の
tsuki no
of the moon

砂漠
sabaku
desert

The ‘ForestWalk’ page is here.

The trees look identical, apart from one which is smaller than the others! It isn’t clear how one is meant to ‘walk’ between them.

That’s a direct link to the ‘ShopsWithFreeStuff’ page. The ‘ForestWalk’ page is here.

Have you noticed the forest walk, entered through the walkway in the row of shops?

William

I hadn’t noticed, but it’s been quite a while since I last visited the ‘ShopsWithFreeStuff’ page.

Thank you.

The gaps are much smaller now, but they’re still present for me.

you still get a gap at the bottom

Reviewing my steps, I see that I got rid of that gap by specifying

line-height:0px;

on the W3Schools ‘Tryit’ page, but the same trick doesn’t work on the PmWiki page.

Looking at it carefully how it is now, it seems correct along each row, the outstanding problem seems to be beween rows: what if it were text would be called the leading (from the strips of lead betwen rows of characters when handsetting metal type).

So it is as if we need to reduce the leading to zero, if that is possible.

William

As you’ll have noticed, William, I’ve been playing with this but can’t see how to do it. If you go to

https://www.w3schools.com/html//tryit.a … ellpadding

and change

th, td {
  padding: 15px;

to

th, td {
  padding: 0px;

the padding below the text looks the same as the padding above. However, if you replace one of the name lines with HTML code for an image, I expect you’ll find (as I did) that you still get a gap at the bottom. For example, try replacing

<td>Jackson</td>

with

<td><img src=https://www.allaboutbirds.org/news/wp-content/themes/html5blank-stable/images/blue-winged-warbler.jpg" alt"blue-winged warbler"></img></td>

I'll try to find out if that can be adjusted.

William

You’re welcome, but I’ve just tried adding

|| border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"

and it hasn’t done much, if anything.

Ah, I thought you meant something else that I didn’t recall seeing there yesterday. The Isometric Village  seems to be newer than that.

I think the problem is that you’ve used a table but you haven’t set the cell spacing correctly.

I’ve noticed, but I wonder whether anyone else has! (This would, of course, require the visitor to know that it wasn’t there before this morning.)

A minor oddity: when I first watched it early today the default thumbnail image (displayed before I pressed ‘Play’) was missing, but it’s there now.

Thank you both.

I’ve increased the size limit for uploaded files from 50 000 to 256 000 bytes (i.e. 250 KB) and I’ve uploaded a JPG file whose size is very close to that limit (247.15 KB). Visit Room 2 to view the file in question.

So what I have suggested could, I think, probably be done with HTML on a website.

Can it be done in a wiki? Is a wiki just text and stand-alone images or can one use HTML structures such as a table?

PmWiki allows the use of tables, inter alia. Take a look at the Tables section of the Text Formatting Rules page.

@Alfred Is your webspace capable of hosting more than this forum please?

Such as a wiki where registered participants of this forum could generate pages and edit any pages?

Or some sort of 3d wiki?

I could easily install something like PmWiki, but I’m not at all sure what “some sort of 3D wiki” might be.
