Topic: Problem re-installing PhotoPlusX8

I have had a faulty hard drive which needed to be replaced and as part of this have migrated to W11. This has meant needing to reinstall all my Serif softwares. I have a PHPX8 disk, but I don't have a product code for it. The version I was previously using was downloaded as part of a bundle from serif, and for this I do have a product code, but the two are not compatible. I do have a full backup on external drive of all my C\ drive files which includes all the Serif applications.
I do also have PhPX8 installed on a laptop but I am not sure whether it is the disk or download version.
Any advice welcome.

The product key only needs to be correct for the product that you’re trying to install (e.g. beginning with ‘HPX8’ for PhotoPlus X8). It doesn’t matter whether you’re installing from a disc or a download, so if you have your old product key it should still work.

I have also found that running in win7 compatibility mode gets rid of the win11 quirks
