Eric, Sometimes I wish that I could swap places with some of those animals, but only if I could have a full life and not turn up as lunch for someone !!
I enjoyed that and can relate to it, as when we are in the UK we live in the countryside and are surrounded by such animals including an alpaca in a neighbors field. I am back from Spain at the moment with tons of footage showing my brother around our area in the sun, so a lot of editing to do. I am having to live on pain killers at the moment as I find it impossible to walk without them ! As someone that thinks he is still a teenager but nearing 80, I am going to have to have a rethink of my life from now on.

Thanks Eric .. as always, nicely done, smooth and easy to watch.

Gordon - That's not good. I hope your situation improves quickly.
I'm the other side of 80. 90 will be my next big one. No pain killers, just an assortment of medicines every day.
But living in a Retirement Village (Independent living) I've come into contact with something you don't see much of outside - dementia. I've seen residents go downhill with it and quite quickly. I don't know which is worse, have your body go on you, or have your mind go. It's very sad.

Seconded!

I imagine that having your mind go is worse for the people around you, unless any moments of lucidity allow you to be aware of the bad bits. Coping with temporary physical difficulties is one thing, coping with permanent ones is obviously quite a different matter.
Thanks Gordon, I do hope that your back is starting to get better.
Last Wednesday we made our way to Nymans, a NT property in West Sussex. This year they are doing a Narnia theme for the garden with various wardrobes, white witches and lions scattered around the place, it was quite magical, It carries on until January 5th, if you get the chance to go I can thoroughly recommend it.
Please enjoy my video of it.

I certainly enjoyed the video Albert, now I don't need to go and see it !!! At this moment I am not in the best of heath living on pain killers and I am going "cold turkey" today as the medication is causing problems. They have a good Christmas showing at Hever Castle that is only 10/15 mins from our house in the UK but I haven't the enthusiasm to go out in the cold unfortunately. I have a flight booked for the 28th December and I am determined to go as Sue for some reason loves doing the new years day swim with 300 other nutters and I always make a video of the complete day.
All the best for Christmas and hopefully a healthy new year where we can all make a few more videos. Incidentally the trip last month to Spain with my 84 year old brother was a huge success (it must have been because he left his slippers down there ) !!!! We took him to all the best places and views and he could not believe what he saw as it was his first time in another country and first time in an airplane. I made a video of the complete holiday for him that I have just finished editing, it is an hour and a quarter long and I had to really trim it to fit it to that "short" time.

Thanks Albert, well done and something different. The only thing missing was snow

Lovely, Albert. No doubt a nice day trip from Essex, but rather too far from my neck of the woods!
Thanks Eric and Alfred.
It should have been a "nice day trip from Essex", but unfortunately the M25 was partly closed due to an accident, which meant a trip which should have taken about an hour, took us almost double the time. Instead of arriving at around 11.15, it wasn't until just before 1.00pm when we did eventually get there. We were not happy bunnies!! Still it was worth it in the end.
If the trip should have taken about an hour and you had expected to arrive around 11:15, you must have left at 10 o’clock or so. 1 o’clock is nearly three hours later, which is fully double the expected journey time and then some, not ‘almost double’. That aside, it was clearly well worthwhile.
You're quite right Alfred, I didn't really think it through did I.
BTW, I'm surprised that you didn't mention my spelling mistake on a caption, or were you too polite to mention it?

Assuming you mean the caption for the section immediately before your fifth clue, I wasn’t going to mention it unless you did!

Yes I also spotted the misspelling but like Alfred wasn't going to say anything. Albert are you going to correct it? If it was me I would as otherwise it would forever annoy me.
I have already corrected it Eric, but just for myself when I burn my DVD for the year. I won't bother with the online copy.
It is very easy to make spelling mistakes on videos, especially if you are adding the captions as you go along when editing. I find it best to do all the captions in one go after you have got to the end.
I have a foolproof method as far as spelling is concerned, it's called " Sue", that is my wife who ran Tonbridge public boys school for over 30 years that I get to scan it through before I render it.
Her father was a Headmaster and she is one of those annoying people that can't walk past a shop or restaurant or "anywhere" that has a misspelt word or bad grammar on any sign or paperwork that is advertised ! She even carries a marker pen with her and alters things ! I love her to bits and the fact that she speaks 4 languages has always come in handy, but I'm sure she upsets a lot of people !!
I'm a linguist, too - teacher (Head of Department latterly) for over 30 years (now retired), and I think it goes with the territory. Misused apostrophes and homophones are my main triggers. I don't carry a marker with me, though.
Gordon, I also have a "foolproof method as far as spelling is concerned, it's called " Sue",", only my one is called Jill!! The trouble was that I had already uploaded the video before Jill had a chance to watch it, and as soon as she saw the offending caption gave a little squeal and pointed out the error of my ways. I got confused because the word forty does omit the 'u', and I had made a mistake a few year back by spelling it "fourty", so I thought I won't make the same mistake again!! Sometimes you just cannot win...
I’m not new to most people here. I was a member of the old old Serif forums - and just didn’t sign up here until the other day!
Hello Ali, it's good to see you here.
William
Before we go up to the village square to see in the new year, I'd like to wish anyone on this forum a Happy & a Healthy New Year from Sue & I in Spain.

Thanks, Gordon, and the same to you. I’m looking forward to seeing your video of this year’s New Year’s Day nutters’ swim!
