Here's another one of my efforts https://youtu.be/IE7QGNLhpFU Leonardslee Garden in West Sussex. Been there a couple of times before, it has a wonderful collection of sculptures, some of which are most peculiar to say the least, but are always very interesting. It also has a marvelous landscape and a collection of wallabies, when we got there, most of them were a bit static so I did not bother including them in the final cut. I hope you enjoy the video, it's a tad shy of 10 minutes.

I enjoyed that Albert, we have been to Leonardslee Gardens but many years ago so it was good to see how much it has altered. Lovely coloures at this time of the year ! and of course you have to film the ducks. I suppose that some of the statues must appeal to someone!
We are back in the UK for a while as the weather is better in the UK at the moment for a change.

Re: Post your videos here

Yes Gordon, those sculptures are not cheap, most go for thousands of pounds as you may have noticed. The "Diva" sculpture of the young lady diving into the lake we actually saw at Wisley a few years ago, I assume that it was the exact same one rather than a copy, but I wouldn't swear to it. Last time we visited Leonardslee there was a much different sculpture in that particular place - how to describe it - probably easier to upload a picture of it, fascinating isn't it.

Yes a fair bit to see without walking too far !!! It looked like you had the train all to yourself. Lot's of colourfull interest throughout including the lama eating his food.
We have an Alpaca that lives in the field next to our house in the UK who is often looking over the hedge at me (probably wondering what I am) !! At least I know the differents between them and a Lama as I found an easy way. They have banana (that rimes with lama) long shaped ears and the Alpaca has very short ones.

A pleasant six minutes that passed all too quickly, Eric! Thanks for sharing it with us.

I presume the captions/subtitles were auto-generated, leading to oddities like this:

The phrase “peak shot us” is quite a radical departure from the spoken words “pig shelters”.

We are in the UK for a while as the weather is better than it is in Spain at the moment. However it all changes very quickly.
We went on one of our normal easy walks yesterday and I did take a camcorder to show you what a nice part of the countryside we live in. This is not a particularly good video and I just "strung" some parts together to show you what we have within a very easy reach.

Some very interesting statues.  With a couple of figures there was very little joining them to their base.  As for departing through the Gift Shop there's a good reason for that.  Did you purchase anything?

Anyway here's a short six minute (yes Alfred six is short) effort of mine.  Crystal Mountain.

I never realized that there were dinosaurs in  NZ.  Apparently there were.  Nice job Eric.  I can always count on your videos to hum along at a relaxed  pace.  Nice and soothing.   Cheers !!

P.s. It did look like the same Peacock 4 years later.  Nothing wrong with your memory ------ yet.

Thanks Gordon.  I like the "suspense" music.

I had nothing to do with the captions.  Maybe I should try doing my own if it's possible.  Yes both Vimeo and YouTube struggled with some of my narration.  Approaching 83 years my voice isn't what it used to be and I struggle to get some words out clearly.  I spend hours recording, tidying up in Audacity and further fine tuning on my timeline.  Audio is the hardest part of video making.

With auto captions I wonder how it would cope with strong accents such as Geordie.  As a Londoner I cannot understand a true Geordie!  My previous Village Manager was a Geordie but her accent was half watered down so I could understand her

I somehow managed to miss this post yesterday, don't know how, but anyway...

I really did like this video Gordon, you managed to get some beautiful shots of the tree in full blossom, you should really string some more 'parts together', if this is going to be the result!! Your wife was very useful as she provided some continuity taking photos etc. I liked the holding hands sequence, as you walked towards the camera, that was enchanting.
Thanks for the link which I found eventually!

Thanks Albert, yes my wife also used to be at the other end of the camera in her younger days with things like this !

Re: Post your videos here

I obviously use a tripod especially when I am filming bands when I am in Spain with a fixed camera. However when we go for a walk I travel light and use one of these foldable cheap handholds (just like our old 8mm cine film cameras used to be like) that doubles up as a tripod. In the shut position it actually does make it easier to hold (especially in fully auto mode) OK the tripod part is OK to use in it's lowest setting but forget it fully extended if it's anymore than a very light breeze !! It's ball headed so easy to get the picture straight.
