Topic: Thanks for the add
Thanks for the add. I've been using the Serif products for some time and, like many here, was disappointed to see them go away. I honestly believe that the PhotoPlus and MoviePlus products were some of the best products available to beginner and intermediate users. I have tried many other products, both free and pay for use, and, IMHO, none of them match up to the Serif line. I migrated to MoviePlus from Pinnacle Studio (don't remember exactly which version, but it was a single digit one) and returned to it when my MoviePlus 6 "glitched" and would no longer run codecs. I remembered getting notification late last year that all support servers were going away and backed up and exported the codes. I had to upgrade my desktop, both hardware and Windows, and can still run MPX6.
Anyway, I still have some questions re this forum and software, but I'll address those in respective locations.
John
Thanks for setting this up and so quickly Alfred!
I was also surprised to see you even moved the avatars. Great host! Thanks
I endeavour to please!
Thank you Alfred.
A long time user of Serif stuff (occassionaly dip into Page Plus still!) and user of Affinity Photo from its inception. Loved using the Affinity forum just browsing or lurking and learnt so much and always got a sensible answer to a question there.
Nothing lasts forever and goodbye Serif but so pleased there is still a place to come to for advice and ideas.
Welcome to the madhouse, Jeff! Thanks for joining us here.
Hello Alfred, thank you for accepting me here, and hello everyone.
I don't know if I'll be very active, but I'll be checking in every day.
I have the Affinity suite, but I mainly use Designer. I don't know if I'll be able to help (I hope so in some cases), but I'm also looking to learn new ways of working with Designer.
Welcome, Régis! Thanks for joining my merry little band.
Hello Alfred.
Thank you taking the time to register me here, and for providing Affinity users with refuge in this uncertain moment.
You’re very welcome, Wally! It’s good to see you here.
This site is a refreshing as my just completed autumn walk. Thank you for making this possible, Alfred.

“See you later! I’m off for a gentle haiku in the local hills.”
Hello all ! thank's Alfred to let me in this refuge.
Welcome, Sam! Thanks for joining us here.
Thanks, Alfred. And greetings one and all from another Affinity Forum refugee.
Welcome, Peter! Good to see you here, too.
Thank you Alfred, for welcoming me among you.
I’m pleased to have you as a member of my merry little band, Alfredo!
Thank you for accepting my subscription.
Greetings to everyone, and I hope I can receive and give help using the Affinity suite!
Hello from Italy!
Raffaella
Welcome, Raffaella, and thanks for joining us here!
It’s a pity that avatar dimensions are limited to 60 pixels. That’s OK for a geometric ‘identicon’, but a lot of fine detail is lost from the more elaborate images.

Thanks Alfred.
This avatar actually uploaded itself when I signed up!
I don't know why!
I wanted to add one later; the one I had on the Affinity forum was a photo of my cat.
But maybe I'll keep this one.
What do you think?
