This seems to indicate that what I am doing should work.

For many years, on other computers running Windows, I had been able to do a Print Screen by pressing a specific keyboard button and then I could paste an image of the screen content at that time into another program, such as Paint.

I am not able to do that at present on this Windows 11 computer.

I know that some websites have protective measures to prevent such copying.

However, I have just tried a Print Screen of a WordPad document that I started and added the word Test at 72 point and I cannot get a Print Screen of that.

The screen goes grey and there is a small panel at the top with small logos of a camera and two others.

Maybe I am not carrying out some choice to make it work.

Does anyone know please?

Some time ago I enjoyed trying Bing Chat AI to produce images, trying unusual prompts to observe what would be produced, including one in the impressionist style

https://punster.me/serif/viewtopic.php?pid=3876#p3876

one in the style of Claude Monet

https://punster.me/serif/viewtopic.php?pid=3899#p3899

one in the style of Van Gogh

https://punster.me/serif/viewtopic.php?pid=3901#p3901

and some just trying to explore what could be produce.

https://punster.me/serif/viewtopic.php?pid=3902#p3902

Recently, I tried to produce some more impressionist style pictures and Bing Chat AI  does not seem to want to do it.

However, I think that I produced those pictures using another computer, which I think was a Windows 10 computer and this is a Windows 11 computer.

So, those pictures were then on another computer, and my attempts now are now and on this computer.

So, is anyone at this time able to get Bing Chat AI to produce an original impressionist style painting please?

I am wondering if perhaps Bing Chat AI has been reset and relearnt its skills on a different, maybe restricted, set of content.

If one is quick and pauses the video at 4 seconds in, the text of part of her identity card is displayed on the screen.

Well, at the time it was live on iPlayer, or still on that day, and if the News broadcasts are put on iplayer for the longer term, it is not immediate.

I'll have a look now.

You’re very fond of including the word ‘interesting’ in your posts and topic titles, aren’t you, William!

Indeed.

Quite apart from its being a given that we find our own topics interesting, it would help to provide context to the thread if you were to say why a particular topic piqued your interest.

I introduced it like that in the hope that readers would enjoy the surprise rather than me putting a spoiler comment before the viewing.

What two things surprised you in the linked clip, and what did you find nice about them?

I thought it rather splendid how each of the two ladies were presented as looking like the lady featured in a famous painting, with a pastiche of the painting with the image of the lady removed, as if she had gone for a walkabout.

Is it these at Tunstall?

rome2rio.com has Longport and Tunstall a few minutes apart, so possibly yes.

Less than a mile away is Middleport pottery where Burgess and Leigh are still using a technique dating back to 1851.

An item shown seems to have the name Burleigh on its base.

I have a few minutes ago seen on the BBC1 lunchtime news, today, Thursday 12 September 2024, the local news for the Midlands region, a feature about AI being used to design original Delft-style ceramic tiles.

I do not know if readers other than those in the Midlands area can access the item on iPlayer, by changing the region setting on your computer temporarily, but I am posting to draw your attention to it.

I will try to produce another post by having another viewing and posting the names of the businesses that were stated in case there might be websites available.

An interesting article. I feel I have learned some things about art.

I noticed this within the text.

> Certainly, a few contemporary AI “artists” have never experienced any level of critique, until they posted their “work” on social media.

One thing that I have never done is purport that I produced the art generated by Bing Chat AI. I have always stated that the image was produced by Bing Chat AI. i have stated that I authored the prompt for that particular artwork.

I would be interested to know what readers, some of whom may be professional artists, think of four images referenced here by links to another thread in this forum, perhaps by reference to the comments about the art quality of AI images made in the article to which Alfred posted a link.

I had the computer on for a while, did some of the Duolingo Welsh course, then turned off the computer and was doing other things for around two hours.

About five minutes ago I turned the computer on, came to this forum, then I got the blue screen with the message again, but it had 100% and went off after literally just a few seconds and the computer rebooted and so I came to this forum and I am posting this note.

On for a while now with no more problems ... yet.
